I stay at Prince de Galles whenever I go to Paris ,and disliked almost everything on my last visit !
The hotel was empty during my stay ,due to weather/air traffic problems ,I had booked superior rooms and was assigned the smallest ,oldest superior rooms i ever had in all my stays there ,with peeling wall paper , broken handles ,scratched furniture etc..and when I called the front desk to tell them about the rooms condition ,I was offered other rooms at addicional 240 euros/night ,in an empty hotel! no apology whatever !
A luxury collection hotel should not have rooms in such condition !

Dear Guest, we thank you for your loyalty to the Prince de Galles and do regret that you were not satisfied with your recent stay in Paris. We have taken good note of your comments and apologize for the fact that our Team’s reaction to your disappointment did not meet your expectations.
Although we carry on a regular plan of maintenance works in all of our rooms, we are now planning a one year closure period for a full renovation starting on February 15th, 2011.
We are looking forward to welcoming you again at the Prince de Galles in 2012, offering you a more positive experience in Paris.
