I was glad to find this hotel. It is in the 17th arr., just off the Port Maillot metro stop in the NW corner of Paris. It's probably 6-7 blocks from the Arc de Triomphe. It is small, but satisfied our needs. It was in the mid 150's (euros) during the week, but Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights we paid $120, which included breakfast. It is a special "bed & breakfast" rate you have to pick on their website. The breakfast was fine. Just basic French breakfast items like yogurt, ham, various cheeses and a few pastries. O.J. and coffee or hot chocolate were included too.
The rooms are small, the bathroom average. There is a TV with various stations including one English speaking news channel - it was either CNN or BBC, I can't remember. There is also FREE wifi internet, and a small refrigerator under the desk with minibar items. We just used it for keeping our water cold, oops, I mean cool. (No one native there seems to like any cold drinks, and I guess, by this token, the fridge was kept just barely cool.) The staff was helpful and friendly. There are really no complaints except that the housekeeper began vaccuming by 8 a.m. each morning, so bring ear plugs if that may bother you. BTW, if you are in need of a place to do laundry when there like we were, go out of the hotel and go to your right. Walk to the end of the street, cross the street and there is a circle where the streets meet up in the middle - like a little park. Walk sraight through that towards Hertz car rental. Go past Hertz and a few stores down is a Laverie, a laundromat. It's pretty straighforward. Just bring your euros coins with you. It was 3.80 e to wash and 1e to dry for about 20 minutes. We needed two cycles to dry, so it cost us about 6 euros to do a load. Bring your own detergent or you can buy some there (not sure how much.) This was a nice hotel in which to base all of our outings in Paris, and I would certainly recommend it.More
