We got back yesterday afternoon after 4 nights in this superbly located hotel and can't wait to book again.
Literally just over the Seine, across Pont Citie, on Rue Saint Michel, our room overlooked the river and Notre Dame.
The Hotel doesn't look much from the outside, but the minute you walk into reception and meet the staff the place is first class. We were on the 4th floor, only 3 rooms up there) and the room was plenty large enough, the bed huge and comfortable; a very decent bathroom, shower etc and WiFi is free (tell them how many devices and you get that many logins)
The room, with the window open was noisy, it is situated on a busy road, but with the windows closed at night, together with the air-conditioning, made for a very peaceful sleep.
We had breakfast in the hotel the first morning, European breakfast, 15 Euros, for all you can eat; fresh juice, coffee, tea, eggs, meat, croissants with jam etc. The next 4 mornings we had a cooked breakfast at a local cafe.
Each room has a mini-fridge, which is where you will find the small safe (again gratis) for your passports etc (not bit enough for my iPad, but you could leave that with the staff when you went out)
In the heart of the Italian Quarter, there are so many restaurants and bars of all prices (cheap to first class)
Only gripe, just the 2 small cartons of milk, so you could have just the one cup of coffee or tea using the kettle in the room - but I'm sure if we'd asked, we could have got more.
Absolutely highly recommended.

Room tip: Ask for a room at the front; view of the Seine and Notre Dame

As refugees from a terrible so-called five star hotel near the Arc de Triomphe (bad plumbing, worse service, vanishing property etc) we came to this wonderful place. Opening the window presented the very view that the official website shows. I get sick of amorphous hotel rooms that all resemble each other. This one has character in spades and breathes history; a few hundred years ago you could have watched the building of Notre Dame from our window. Rooms are small but adequate, everything works and staff are lovely. If location works for real estate it certainly does for hotels. We walked everywhere from here - Jardin des Plants, Notre Dame, Sainte Chapelle, Musees d'Orsay and Cluny etc etc., and you could pop across the road to enjoy Notre Dame before the crowds arrived. We didn't eat here so can't comment on that; not because of any problem but because the teeming backstreets of the Latin Quarter with all their diversity of food and drink are just behind the hotel. Australia to Paris is a long haul and I don't know if we will be back but if we do, it will be at a time when we can get a booking here. Loved it!

Room tip: Standard is small, but we found it adequate for 2, More expensive rooms are bigger. All seem to have the Seine/Notre Dame view and double glazing cuts the traffic noise well.

This hotel has a complete package, without being ostentatious. Location is superb for anyone wanting to enjoy the Latin Quarter, Museums, Luxembourg Gardens, the food scene, or just gwtting lost and meandering aimlessly about.
Rooms are well appointed and maintained.
The professional staff is very helpful and genuinely interested in the guest.
The modest size of the property is a distinct advantage. No guest is 'just a number'.
Our third stay and we will return.

This is a wonderful hotel which I recommend and would definitely stay in again. The décor is beautiful, the room and hotel are really clean and the service from the staff is excellent. Staff all speak English/understand slow French and are extremely helpful and friendly, ready to provide advice as to where to eat, transport routes etc The room facilities provided are really good (toiletries, dressing gown, plenty of plug sockets, room safe, tea and coffee). The views are stunning and the rooms are also really quiet. The location cannot be beaten either.

Outstanding location. The first thing we did upon arrival was open our window and take a pic of Notre Dame de Paris, which is across the river. The htel is centrally located, and on the metro/RER line, making it a breeze to move about the city. We enjoyed a cool stretch of June weather, so we could keep windows closed. The street noise below could be a problem if it is hot out, however. The staff met our every need. All our questions about where to eat and how to best navigate the city were patiently answered. The room was clean, comfortable and secure, with the outstanding views already mentioned. Dining is available on site, but you are literally in the middle of everything, with plenty of options just steps away. We would stay again, which we truly don't say often!

Room tip: Higher floors have better views.
