“Gorgeous!!!!! Amazing!!!!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 January 2012

We had the best time at Maison Trevier! You could not ask for a better host in Gina. We spent 15 days in France for our belated honeymoon; the first week was in Paris and the second in Southern France. Paris, while elegant and exciting, could not compete with our time in the southern Rhone Valley. It was truly relaxing there. Our three nights with Gina were the most memorable of our trip. We took cooking classes, wine tours, stone-cutting tours... you name it, we did it! At the same time, we had plenty of down time to simply relax, read our books and sip wine. We had the privilege of being the only guests at the time the courtyard was being renovated (can`t wait to try out the new pool!), and had Gina`s full attention. She was so helpful and almost everything we did was by her advice. Gina would map out whole days of activities for us. We enjoyed our time with Gina so much, we even met up with her after leaving Maison Trevier.

Carpentras has a wealth of culture and activities, including a great farmer`s market once a week. It`s also centrally located in the southern Rhone Valley wine region where day trips to Gigondas, Mt. Ventoux, Bedoin, Beaumes-de-Venice, Crillon-le-Brave, and L`Isle-sur-la-Sorgue (for shopping) were planned last minute but were still very easy. If you`re up for a longer drive, take a few hours and venture to the Mediterranean (e.g., Aigues-Mortes, Le Grau-du-Roi) for oysters and white wine...

Our next trip is to Spain and Portugal but we will without doubt slip over to Carpentras to have a glass of wine and head cheese with Gina. She is truly a French Classic and we miss her plenty!

Room Tip: We were lucky enough to get a tour of all the rooms and would have gladly stayed in any of them. Ea...

“A place from heaven for wine lovers”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 September 2011

We went to an Italy & South France trip for 10 days between July 14-July 25 and we spent the last 2 days of our trip in beautiful Maison Trevier. I found this guesthouse from an article in Travel & Leisure magazine and we had an amazing time. Gina was a very nice host and she helped us a lot for our wine cellar visits; she guided us for the "must to go places" etc. The real beauty of Carpentras come from it's central position; it's just in the middle of the wine testing areas such as Chateauneuf de Pape, Gigondas etc. It's so convenient for Aix en Provence & Avignon daily visits as well.
I strongly suggest Masion Trevier to everybody who has an interest in such travel.

Room Tip: We had the room in the 3rd floor. It was quite big like a suit with a great garden view.

“Fantastic experience, could not have been better!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 August 2011

Carpentras is cute little town right in the heart of Southern Rhone wine country. Maison Trevier is a charming, well maintained hotel with excellent hospitality. Gina welcomed us with genuine care and even made us lunch while everything else was shut down for the afternoon. The hotel itself is nicely decorated and the rooms are great. Nice amenities and furnishings. The breakfast in the morning was top notch and really fresh. For a great dinner check out Chez Serge one block away. I wish we could have spent more than a day. My wife and I travel a lot and I work for a luxury hotel company, so this place is for real.

“Incredible experience!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 August 2011

Our experience at Maison Trevier was amazing… From the second we stepped foot into the Maison I knew we had made an excellent choice booking the second half of our honeymoon at Maison Trevier. The hotel/B&B is beautifully decorated and very clean. Our room was extremely spacious and overlooked Gina’s charming courtyard. The courtyard and restaurant, in an open air setting, is simply beautiful.

The Maison is perfectly situated, convenient to historic sites, shops and restaurants. If you’re up for a little adventure I recommend you rent a car and visit the nearby beautiful villages of Venasque and Gordes as they are within driving distance – less than 30 minutes away!

Now a little bit about the owner Gina…She is wonderful and really went out of her way to make our stay special. We truly enjoyed our morning breakfast of fresh breads and organic preserves that she had prepared for us daily. The apricot preserve was my favorite! My husband’s favorite was the strawberry syrup over yogurt.

This is a special place. It’s elegant, romantic ... you can't go wrong here. We loved it and will be back! Maison Trevier is highly recommended - for its character, charm, location and superior customer service.

Merci Gina!

“We loved it!”

A friend and I stayed for two nights with Gina to visit the flea markets around the area. Gina was really welcoming, suggested places for us to visit and made the most lovely meals! Our room was clean and airy and we would highly recommend Masion Trevier as a place to stay.
