This is a lovely little hotel and it is very quiet. It resembles a tiny traditional Spanish village of aparments, and it is situated on the edge of town in a gated secure area. The grounds are very clean and nicely looked after. Access to it is not difficult, but using GPS to navigate to it is frustrating. There is currently a lot of ongoing construction around town, including around the hotel, and a GPS device will constantly give wrong directions, suggesting to take roundabouts or roads that don't even exist. There is a nice little pool area which is very relaxing after an arduous climb around the Alhambra, and the hotel seems mostly vacant even in August. The hotel has its own underground garage, which costs 8 euros per day, although almost no-one seems to use it and the charge seems unwarranted. The problem is that although there are public parking spots around, they are nearly always full, so the garage ends up being required. Due to its orientation, it is very challenging to go up and down it with a mid-sized car without scraping (only attempt if you are skillful), although once underground, it's not hard to park. Reception is closed over the weekend, so it is necessary to call a girl and arrange pick up of the key; this was not a real problem, as although she speaks limited English, she is very responsive and is easily reachable by e-mail or cell phone. We were given good practical information on how to visit the main sights, including maps. The hotel seems to run on autopilot even with reception not being present. The room itself is quite nice, although the furniture is rather basic and not super-modern. There is the option to have a double bed or two single beds. The kitchenette is very well equipped, although there is no oven (but there is a microwave). There is event a front-load washing machine, but you need to buy your own detergent. The TV is tiny and useless and was a real shame; it's not the 1950's. The beds are OK but the pillows are very firm. All the rooms have slightly insufficient lighting. The Wi-Fi is reasonably fast and reliable, which was appreciated after experiencing much trouble in other, bigger Spanish hotels. The A/C is very efficient (perhaps too much). One problem is that the towels and sheets are not changed every day; there was also no hot water one morning, but it was quickly fixed. The hotel does not have a bar (that is open, at least), but there are several tapas bars withing a short walk away that are very popular, with a big crowd on the weekend. A Carrefour supermarket is a short drive away. Overall, we were happy with this choice and would recommend it.
