Yea, you can tell this wasn't my favorite stop. After so many amazing stays in Italy, it was a sad thing to end on this one. The website states that it is in Trastevere, but I don't think so. It is a few miles down the road (away from the city center). Trastevere itself is magical, quaint, full of evening life. When I go back, I will stay in that neighborhood.
Back to Vacanze... The website said wifi, yet I stayed for 4 days and wifi never worked. That was a real problem and so I had to go to a local pizzeria to get wifi, which was about 1 mile away. There aren't many restaurants or things to do near this place.
The website has an English version and is near perfect in grammar. However, the gentleman who was onsite couldn't speak a word. That struck me as deceptive and was problematic.
On the last day, that same man accused me of stealing a towel (I gathered through gestures). That was truly insulting as the towels are small, threadbare rags that don't serve their purpose, not to mention I don't steal. He was ridiculous and I hope my opinion of him came through clearly in our argument.
"Continental Breakfast" was terrible. It consisted of 2 packages of the equivalent of Hostess Donuts and a harsh cup of coffee. Sad and pathetic.
The rooms front on a larger road next to a bus stop, so expect noise to be your neighbor as you try to sleep or take a nap.
No laundry service as the site website claims. His "service" was to give me a flyer for a laundromat about 1 mile away. Nice. Not.
