“Home in Venice”

Lovely B & B in the heart of Venice. Located 2 minutes walk from the Vaporetto stop Biasio Riva on the Grand Canal. Susanna and Andrea are a young couple who run B & B with passion. Every morning at breakfast Susanna came to us with the question of what the plans were for this day. She came with many tips for nice restaurants or original things to do in Venice. They were warm, but gave you enough privacy. The B & B has 4 rooms, breakfast is served in the living room or at breakfast. The bedroom and bathroom look neat and clean and has air conditioning. We paid € 150 per night and that was well worth it in the heart of Venezia! Nice restaurants nearby, supermarket 5min. walk. Super house, super easy. Thanks Andrea and Susanna and for our beautiful honeymoon. Lomee & Ronald

“Fond memories”

I meant to write this review sooner but time got away. I have to say even though months have passed since our stay in Venice; the memories of our family’s stay at Campiello Zen still make us smile. I traveled with my husband, two teenage daughters, and my sister. This was our second trip to Venice but having Andrea and Susanna as hosts made the world of difference. We experienced Venice and the surrounding areas in ways we never would have known without Andrea’s and Susanna’s suggestions and special arrangements. From the amazing, authentic restaurants we never would have found on our own to special experiences and day trips. Arrangements were made for us to visit Tofolli vineyards. This family owned vineyard had amazing views, luscious Prosecco, and a personalized guided wine tasting. A day enjoyed by all.
The accommodations at Campiello Zen were spotless and I have to confess I’m fussy. Our rooms and the main area were spacious, filled with lovely antiques, oriental rugs, and lots of history not to mention a beautiful terrace. Location was the best. I highly recommend Campiello Zen, wouldn't stay anywhere else, and miss their wonderful cup(s) of cappuccino each morning!

“Not that special”

This is a nice, average B+B to stay at. I agree with other reviews that say your expectations are a lot higher due to all the 5 star ratings on tripadvisor... Susanna and Andrea are very helpful and give you lots of advice about where to go / to eat etc. The location is very good, you are close to the vaporetto and the area is quiet. There is free wifi where you have breakfast and all but one of the rooms.

The downsides are that it does take a good 20 minutes to walk to the Rialto Bridge, breakfast is really nothing special at all (one croissant, a little fruit and yoghurts) and the room downstairs doesn't have wifi is a little damp out of season and is very dark. In season i'm sure they can afford to charge the prices they do, however, out of season 140 euros per night seems poor value for money for what you get...

All i can conclude with that perhaps my expectations are too high, but for one of the top 5 B+Bs in Venice i would expect a lot more!

“Experiencing the Real Venice”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 December 2011

We just returned from an amazing visit to Italy. Fortunately we were able to stay in Venice for a week, and it ended up being our favorite place in Italy. The hosts at the Campiello Zen were incredible. They arranged for us to have reservations at the most authentic restaurants, and the prices were very reasonable. They also gave us insight to special shops and sights, and they helped us determine the most efficient way to navigate our explorations. We discovered so much more on our trip, as they would greet us every morning when we enjoyed our delicious breakfast and coffee. We totally felt like we had an inside track to the real Venice. Staying in Venice can be bit tricky, but this Bed & Breakfast was the perfect place. The rooms were very comfortable and spacious. They are just a few steps from the Vaporetto, and also only one stop from the train station. They are in a quiet neighborhood away from the insanity of the main piazza, but you can reach all the sights so easily via the Vaporetto, or even on foot. You can also get to the islands quicker since they have multiple options for boats from their Vaporetto stop. The Campiello Zen sets the standards for personalized service. I can assure you that you will get much more out of your stay, than if you simply book at a hotel. They also had complimentary Wi-Fi, and it was easy to access. And on top of all of that, they even gave us some recommendations for food in Rome which ended up being the best meals we had there! We definitely want to go back, and don't let people tell you that you can see Venice in a couple of days. We were there a week, exploring each day all day, and there is still tons to see, thus we hope to return and we will certainly book our stay at the Campiello Zen again. Viva Venice!!

Room Tip: All the rooms are great, and you can check them out on their website. They are also swift to answer...

“Excellent experience”

I can only agree with all the excellent reviews written about this B&B. The cleanliness, comfort of the beds, impeccable service from the owners, and location away from the tourist hub are remarkable! I travelled with my husband, daughter and aunt and the two rooms we had (Suite and Ginko) were great. We were in Venice a short time and really appreciated Andrea's restaurant recommendations. He made us feel so welcome. We also loved his little dog Pilar!!!!
Highly recommended.
