Spent 3 outstanding days at Ca Pagan this spring. I did what lots of Trip Advisor users do. I poured over most of the hotel listings in Venice for days trying to decide on location, price, etc. Save yourself the searching and book at Ca Pagan. It is a delightful small hotel that's easy to get to by vaporetto or private water taxi. The walk is simple to Rialto or San Marco, and its just a few blocks to the Academia bridge, so Dorsoduro is your neighbor too. The rooms are awesome, in the Venetian style, and somewhat larger than many in Venice. All the other posters are correct, Lorna at the desk is an absolute treasure. Breakfast is first rate with lots of nice choices. I can't wait to go back to this little Venetian jewel. Book it!
