What a wonderful gem the Villa i Giullari is. Located just south of the busy city of Florence, tucked away in a country setting, it was treat to come back to every afternoon after an exhausting day touring. It is truly a gorgeous place with a calming view of olive groves in the valley below. It was difficult to navigate to as some streets are narrow with stone walls on either side. We got stuck with our car once as someone was coming the other way, but squeezed by barely. After that we left our car in the lot for a few days and either took the bus, frequent during rush hour and infrequent at other times (available at odd times by request ) or a very reasonable taxi. If you have a car, don't even try to take it into town. We did however make good use of our close proximity to the highway and drove to Siena, only 1 hour away. We chose this B&B since it had free parking and easy access by car but you should print off a google map in advance to show the one way streets.
Guidetta is an awesome cook and the breakfasts were too good, seconds were difficult to say no to. We found this B&B to be the high point of our stay in Florence. It had the ambiance of a Tuscan Villa while being very reasonable in cost.

We stayed two days from 7 to 9 august. The owner was very hospitable!
Our room was at the second floor, as we had asked with the outstanding view!
Room was sharming and modern with a flat tv, a comfortable bed.
Breakfast is really Italian: a lot of croissants , much coffe!
We had a pleasure to enjoy a jacuzzi in the garden.
Close to the hotel is the restaurant "Omero". Very nice and romantic ambience!

This B&B is absolutely beautiful, it sits outside of florence which is nice to get away from the noise and crowds, it has great views and the rooms are beautiful, very comfortable and clean, clean, clean. One of the best places we stayed on our trip!

We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back. The owners were very helpful and extremely hospitable. They treated you like family. Although it is probably a little far to walk to the downtown area, it is easy to get there by car or by a bus that stops very near the hotel. You can also drive to a big parking lot that has frequent shuttles into the heart of downtown. Better than trying to drive into and park in Florence. Very peaceful and quite. Wonderful experience!
