We stayed here for 5 nights while visiting family in Florence. This small 3 star hotel, right next to the Ponte Vecchio is a real gem. A look at the pictures of the hotel will show you that the owners have resisted going down the 'boutique' look, will all the minimalism that carries with it. Instead they have stayed with the traditional Italian look and you feel you are right there in someone's private home. There is a lovely lounge, with squishy sofas and a fabulous view of the River Arno and the Ponte Vecchio. There is a pretty little dining room for breakfast with views over tho the Doumo, and also a roof terrace for relaxing. The rooms are comfortable and our request for a quiet one was met. The large bathroom, although perfectly clean, was a bit old and could have used a revamp to include shower cubicle that didn't soak the floor! But I long ago decided that if hoteliers didn't want wet floors, they would install good shower cubicles, and don't any more worry myself about water getting everywhere The breakfast is good enough for a 3 star hotel, though there is a bit of a knack to getting hot drinks and hot food that we worked out by the second morning. The staff were very helpful and friendly. I wold not hesitate to stay here again and I wold not hesitate to recommend it to...We stayed here for 5 nights while visiting family in Florence.
