This is a very nice hotel in the city centre. Clean rooms, professional look. Breakfast is very nice with lots of choices. Definitely one of the nicest in the city.

Pool is a bit strange though as you can see the pool when working out in the gm (pool is transparant and located right above the gym... a bit strange).

Smallish but comfy hotel in a totally FAB location in St. Gallen. Beautiful gym that makes it easy to stay fit and a bar staff that is ace. Only grumpy comes from the fact that there's no wifi in the rooms and there's none in the congress - which makes business almost impossible these days. I ended up paying for my own via a hotspot.

If this hotel ever gets wifi - would say a perfect spot for your next convention but until then - be prepared to ask your delegates to pay for their own or set up your own system.

The Einstein is a very nice, comfortable hotel that is well-situated near all the sights/shops of St. Gallen, as well as within walking distance to the main train station. Service was cordial but reserved. The "comfort" rooms are indeed comfortable and a reasonable size, with flat screen TV on the wall (includes a few English stations beyond just CNN as well as the usual Swiss/German/Italian channels) and good soundproof windows. The bathroom was compact but renovated and had a great shower. All in all, I had a very pleasant stay. However, given the prices they charge for normal room rates, I would expect a bit more in the way of amenities. To be honest, there was nothing more than one would find a typical good hotel chain in the US and breakfast was 25CHF per person on top of an already overpriced room cost. Considering this hotel is in a smallish city, I was surprised at how expensive it was, even for Switzerland. While a perfectly nice place to stay, maybe worth looking at other options around town for similar quality at a lower price.
