We stayed 4 nights last week. I booked it through a trip advisor "special". The rate I was quoted was 146 euros a night. Sounded like a great deal as it included breakfast, drinks, snacks internet etc. However when I booked I neglected to check the tab that there were actually going to be 2 people in the room. Upon check in I was asked for another 40 euros a night. Given that my partner does not drink this meant a pretty expensive breakfast. I objected but as I had booked for 4 nights I was stuck. It was clear from the staff at check in (and from conversations with other quests) that they were well used to clipping the 40 euro addition. I can only surmise that this is a classic "bait and switch". Buyer beware. Otherwise hotel is good.

This is an ugly place to stay. The decor was more old fashioned and dated than retro, the bedrooms disappointingly small and the general quality felt more like a hostel than a hotel. One is invited to relax in the rather oddly decorated lobby, yet there are very few seats. We gave up being stared at by other guests and retired to our room. The Walls were wafer thin, the beds were very small, and water pressure in the showers made rinsing my hair virtually impossible. The water temperature was also difficult to control. It is well situated, and worth two stars at a push, but not four. As a result of these issues we felt it was overpriced. We will never stay there again. Do not pay in advance. Be very wary of all the positive trip advisor comments. The manager was very anxious that we wouldn't post negative views, and asked us what she could do to prevent it. Don't blame her, but it made us realise how manipulated reviews can be.

I stayed there with my girlfriend for 4 nights after winning a competition, the location is absolutely brilliant, just walking distance from the center. We arrived too early so our room wasnt ready, so the receptionist told us we could stay in the lounge area and help ourselves to drinks and nibbles, they had loads of spirits and also soft drinks, all free!! Then we went to our room which absolutely beautiful, there was even a menu with a choice of different pillows!! Not forgetting bottles of gin, whisky and brandy, all free again! I must say I got very drunk everyday, there was even a telephone in the toilet, just in case... Staff were all brilliant and cheerful, breakfast was delicious and cooked to order, I absolutely loved this hotel and would recommend it to anyone

Not even through the doors and the staff sprang to assist us! After a killer 11 hour flight we were pathetically grateful for their many kindnesses! They had all the info anyone could need and were very knowledgeable about their area as well as the city. We must also express our delight with all the included "treats" - excellent coffee and cakes, wine or alcoholic beverages, sparkling water- everything we had to pay extra for in other places. The room was also a lovely surprise -the pillows and duvet beckoned immediately! It was hard to get up! The following morning the breakfast included every possible configuration -too much selection! And again -excellent staff. We would stay there again in a heartbeat, and have already told fellow travellers about this wonderful place!
