We spent one night in Ieper and we wish we could have spent more. This hotel is so central, less than 5 minutes walk from Menin Gate. The hotel room was very clean and incredibly spacious - with a separate toilet and bathroom. While the hotel was central, it was still very quiet and we got a great nights sleep. Overall a fantastic place to stay that I would recommend to anyone.

We had a night at Novotel Ieper Centrum as part of a coach tour group.

The evening meal for the tour group was excellent as was the range and quality of food for breakfast.

We had 2 rooms next to each other. Although it was supposed to be non smoking rooms our son's room smelt on check-in. If it wasn't smoke smell then it was very musty. We ere easily able to get a changed room though a long way from ours.

The location of the hotel is excellent just a short walk to the centre of Ypres and the Menin Gates.

From the moment my wife and I entered the hotel the staff were absolutely superb. The receptionist on duty, Bianca, was bright, friendly and very helpful regarding the local area.
The reception area was well lit and spotless, as was the hotel throughout.

The room was fresh, clean and just the right temperature (not cold but not heated to the point of being stuffy).

All the staff, from the manager to the housekeepers, were always friendly and helpful, always ready with a smile and a cheerful word.

My wife and I would highly recommend this hotel and would like it put on record that both the hotel and all the staff we encountered are a credit to Novotel and a credit to the town of Ieper.

Brilliant

The reception and common areas are modern and clean. There is a secure garage at an extra cost.
On check in late at night with young children we were assigned a room and once we went to it there were not enough beds, reception did come up quickly as they though we were being daft and could not see the pull out, they soon agreed there was not one and arranged another room. After we got the children to be in the new room I noticed the horrible dead squashed insects all over the ceiling and walls, pretty bloody and very unattractive. We did not eat in this hotel so cannot comment, having stayed in many Novotels this one is poor, disappointing and tired. Very much in need of attention.
Even the tea coffee in room facilities were second rate compared to other novotels.
