The staff go out of their way to cater for you every request. The rooms are excellent, best nights sleep in nearly a week. The restaurant does excellent food. I'll be looking out for their sister hotels in the future.

We stayed at the Tivoli for two nights during our visit to Coimbra. It's a 5-10 minute walk to the interesting parts of the city; on the other hand, it's pretty close to several car-rental agencies, which was useful since we rented a car on our way out of Coimbra. You definitely don't want to drive within the old city of Coimbra itself, but a car is useful if you want to visit Conimbriga, the excavated ruins of a Roman settlement a little south of Coimbra.

Anyway, the hotel is comfortable and the room (a "superior" room on the 5th floor) had a few extra conveniences, including a fairly large bathroom. The breakfast buffet was quite good, although it seems like they might stop re-stocking it during the last half hour or so. The air conditioning worked well.

This hotel was clean and had a good restaurant. They went out of their way to help even though they were busy.

Though we stayed during our road trip in Portugal, it is a good business hotel.
Rooms are spacious and clean, beds are comfortable, breakfast is good, staff is friendly and helpful.
They have free parking.
There is no free wi-fi in the rooms but there is free internet at the lobby.
