Spanelis hotel is simple, yet very agreeable. Host Elena was almost like an aunt, picking us from the port then dropping us there on our last day. Our room wasn't big but is was squicky clean, the beds comfortable and had air conditioning - a must if you stay in Greece in the summer. Breakfast was very simple (coffee, bread, butter, jam, honey, sponge cake, pasties) but the foods employed were very good (except the juice). Having breakfast on the terrace, looking at the sea and caressed by the morning breeze made up for the shortcomings, though :)
The hotel is conveniently located 700 metres from Mykonos city, which is a comfortably walking distance while ensuring silence during the night. Since the hotel is uphill with regards to the city, it's a good idea to go down with scooter so the way back is not too tiring. Be aware that parking in the city can be a right pain in the a**e. OTOH no one seems to mind the "no parking" signs around the city centre.
