We stayed for two nights when we needed to stay close to Central Uppsala. I had no expectations but it turned out to be a lovely hotel with well renovated interiors while still keeping the old charm and soulful details. The staff are professional, breakfast is good and beds comfortable. Very peaceful at night in spite the location, even on a Saturday and even with two windows facing the river. A very nice change to the super modern soulless sky scraper hotels in the same price class.

The hotel is classic and very nice from the outside, in a classic style facade. The interiors and the room are in the same style. The location is central, near the river and the shopping high street, and 10 min. walking distance from the Cathedral, the Castle and the University.
A very good breakfast is available at the hotel

This is an old and well-preserved hotell. The rooms are nice and spacious and the hotel staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel lobby has a very cozy and pleasant bar. We will definitly come back again!

A great location a few minutes from restaurants, sight seeing and the train station. The building from turn of the century w characteristic high ceiling and big windows. Nice Swedish Gustavian (neoclassical) inspired decor w a twist. Loved the decor and the vibe. Everything seemed to be in a newly renovated condition and well thought out. The dining room/breakfast room was beautiful. The bar area nice too. We ordered drinks and sat outside. We had a nice view of the river. I was looking forward to a nice sleep in on Saturday but the ladies staying in room 322 was loud, noisy and banging doors at 7 am...And of course loud again a while later returning from breakfast. Just as I managed to fall back to sleep. So, I/ we gave up and got up. The breakfast offered different breads, chocolate cup cakes, croissants, cold cuts, cheeses, a small cereal/granola station w different muesli, seeds, nuts and dried fruits, thawed berries and different yogurts. Lactose free option by request. Fresh cut water melon and pineapple. Hard and soft boiled eggs, bacon and some sort of scrambled eggs. Great shower but the wash basin and toilet seat was too close to each other. They should have chosen a smaller sink for this stylish but small bathroom. I can imagine that if, you are a larger person you would have difficulties. So, ask for a bigger bathroom. Friendly staff and service! I would book this hotel again.

nice and cosy hotel in the center of Uppsala. on walking distance of shopping and the parks.

Rooms are not big, but clean and the bed is comfortable. The shower is amazing, however there is no full curtain or door which makes the rest of the bathroom wet when having a shower.

Breakfast was included, and again, for the price we paid, great value for money. only comment would be the coffee, i have no idea how that has been brewed, but it tasted like the ground where still in there. The tea was good though.

Staff was extremely friendly and helpful
