This hotel is located on the Kirchberg plateau in the European Quarter just outside Luxembourg City. Although primarily a business hotel, it proved to be a very good location for our two night leisure break as it is on the route of the No.16 Airport to City Centre Bus Route (it takes only 10 minutes to travel in to the centre of Luxembourg from the nearby bus stop). Alternatively there is an excellent 25 to 30 minute scenic walk into the city past the Drai Eechelen fortress and down into the River Alzette river valley. The hotel itself is modern and well designed, with a very large central elliptical atrium which means that every bedroom door opens on to a light internal space and there are no dark corridors. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming, with the reception manager personally taking us to our room. The bedroom was large, with a desk and good lighting, and the bed very comfortable. The bathroom was also large and well fitted. The selection of food and drink at breakfast was one of the largest we have encountered, as well as being of a very high standard. The hotel has a very good Italian restaurant, but we chose to spend time in the bar opposite, as the staff were friendly and they had a good selection of food and drink which we could enjoy in a relaxing atmosphere. The excellence of this hotel enabled us to spend an enjoyable and relaxing two days exploring this surprisingly interesting little city.
