Very nice with newly renovated rooms. The room was a bit hot though and I couldn't find the controls for the air condition. Thankfully the window did open. The people at the front desk was very helpful with all my requests.

Thank you for your response. It has been a warm May in Oslo and it has not been easy to reduce the temperature enough.

Nice to hear that you had a nice stay in Thon Hotel Linne

Welcome back

The hotel has two parts (buildings), main one is renovated with nice rooms the other building has old rooms. Not so bad but kind of old. Hotel is serving best breakfast in Norway! Friendly stuff, Good real coffee! (what is unique in norway). Good restaurant. Lots of parking space. Sauna and gym is located in older part just across the road.

Room tip: take a new room in main building.

We were visiting Oslo to attend a family friend's birthday and needed a place to sleep. Concert in town meant many hotels were full so with some reluctance I agreed that my wife book the same out-of-town hotel as the rest of the party. A good decision!
-Good location in regard to public transport (T-bane, flybussen) and shopping centre.
-Breakfast excellent and a first !!!!. .... A fresh orange juice press machine available. A first for me although maybe I've been living a sheltered life. Plus ...Omelettes made to order.
- Staff very helpful. Excellent directions supplied and on our day of departure a Taxi booked to the airport at fixed price - without even having to specify fixed price.
-Room spacious enough for one child and parents. Safe for him and a good sleep for all.

All in all very great value for money. I will not be so quick to judge in future just because a hotel isn't in close proximity to Karl Johans gate etc.

Room tip: Some of our party were allocated rooms in a separate block across the road. Generally these rooms did not seem to be as good as those in the main building. Beware!

The hotel is 20 minutes off the center of Oslo, the bus stops right outside the hotel - the underground gives you about 5 - 10 minutes walk to the hotel.
The area around the hotel is nice, appartments and private house makes the area quiete. The hotel gives breakfast - a good norwegian breakfast. It gives you a great start of the day.
Now; the room. For the first time in my life, travelling all over Europe and in USA/Canada I got the pleasure of experiencing at sink in the room. Yes, a sink in the room. Not in the bathroom that had a shower and a toilet (you had to almost go backward to the closet...yeah!!) but besides the bed.
The beds where to soft for my parts, then again thats a personal opinion. Nice price for the stay.

Hello
Thank you for your feedback. We have aproximately 50 rooms with sink in the room. This is the oldest roomtype of 394 rooms. The reason for this is the construction of the rooms back in the 70's. They are renovated, but it is not easy to change the contstruction of the building.

Welcome back

A hotel outside the city center, aprox 30 min with walk and underground. I het a new room, small but nice for one person. Informal and very gentle staff. To warm in the rooms, it should atleast been five degrees down.
