I stayed here with my wife and three kids in late June. I initially picked the hotel because it was close to the motorway and parking is a lot cheaper here than one of the inner city carparks. I noticed someone in a previous review complaining about parking being 250NOK per day, it is but they will give you a 50% discount if you ask, I did and I received it.
It's a very new hotel, the staff are also very new and lack experience, but make the effort, the girls on reception were great. I'm sure that given a few months I would give the hotel 5 stars. The location is handy, it doesn't take long to drive from here to most of the tourist sites in Oslo and it's a quick drive to downtown Oslo.
As I was staying with my family, wife and three kids we had a junior suit, the master bed was comfortable, the sofa converts to a doube bed and there was more than enough room for a roll-away bed for my third child. The rooms are typical of any modern Radisson Blu in Scandinavia. The bathrooms don't have a bath, I miss that, a bath is also a positive feature when travelling with young children.
The breakfast is also typical of any Radisson hotel in Norway, same bacon, same scrambled eggs, same sausages, same everything. It would be nice if they could ad some variation.
We had a meal in the restaurant, it's pretty simple fare, and a limited menu. The staff were quick and efficient, and the food was ok. For those not from Norway the prices will scare you, but it's Norway so you should expect it.
Overall it's a good hotel for Oslo and I'll stay there again if I'm in Oslo with my family.
