“An entertaining ghost walk around the beautiful tenby... packed with local knowledge and spooky tales”
I have been visiting Tenby for my annual summer holiday for the past 9 years... and EVERY year I MUST go on the GHOST WALK!!!! The friendly, quirky and very knowledgeable guide who I like to call ‘The Ghost Walk Lady’ takes you around this seaside town stopping at several beautiful sites which she uses as backdrops for her ghostly tales.
There are several local ghosts stories included in the walk which - from my memory (I have been on it 9 times!!) – include the spirits of pirates, murderers and jilted brides as well as phantom funeral processions and demons. She also highlights areas in the town which are rumoured to be haunted. The Ghost Walk Lady also reveals local tales regarding superstitions at sea, death rituals, fairy magic and witches... all packed with local history! This is a family walk- so there are a couple of humorous tales of mischievous ghosts (and their knicker-moving antics) for the kids too.
The walk is not underpant- soiling scary- and you will not see ghosts or hear scripted screams and moans around the town (after all it is not ‘Most Haunted’). It has rained during the last few ghost walks I have been on, which brings a spooky ambience to the experience- so remember to bring a brolly and wrap up warm! This is a great hour and a half... I love to warm up afterwards in the haunted Quay Rooms, noted in the guide, with a hot drink ... to mull over all this brilliant walk gives you to think about!!
