Spent one night here after visiting the valleyof the temples; location couldn't be better but compared to other hotels in Siciliy we had stayed in this hotel did not live up to the website standard. Room felt very dated and shabby, with a unmodern bathroom. Bed wasn't very comfortable. Views on website looked promising and were lovely from the terrace; unfortuantely we didn't enjoy the same views from our room although it was still a peaceful green view. Walls were thin so could hear conversations everytime anyone walked past / people were in adjacent rooms. Didn't eat in the restaurant (very formal feel) but breakfast in the morning encompassed a good array of choices. Staff helpful and entrance is nice. Free parking.

My friend and I stayed here for two nights in late December 2011. The location is great as it is within walking distance of the Valley of the Temples tour and the Archaeological Museum (downhill - just be prepared for a steep walk back up). Our room faced north-east towards the city so we did not have a room with a view. There was only a small window (no balcony). There was only one electrical outlet in the room near the desk (there was another electrical outlet in the bathroom). The shower had only a small half-door/divider which made taking showers a challenge (but this appears to be the standard in Sicily as most of the other hotels we stayed at had the same thing, even the "nicer" hotels). We had a king size bed and the room had a standing wardrobe, chair, and a desk with drawers. All-in-all, for the price this was a very respectable, clean hotel and the guest services people all spoke English. The included breakfast was typical of what we found in Sicily (meats, cheeses, fruit, breakfast pastries, coffee/tea/juice) but also had scrambled eggs (which we understand to be rare in Sciliy as Italians do not eat eggs at all). The nice thing was they had free internet access via hotel-wide Wi-Fi (including in the individual rooms). There was also a guest computer in the common area with internet access (but you can't download or save files to the computer) and a common TV with a universal access subscription (each room has a TV with basic access/channels). I was even able to watch an American Football college bowl game live on ESPN America (at 2 AM in the morning) in the common room!

Like many others before, we chose this hotel based on its location and were lucky enough to receive an upgrade to the 4th floor directly overlooking the Valley of Temples. Whilst the room itself was tiny and certainly not as grand as the hotel website showed, our balcony was 3 times the size of our room and was a fantastic spot to view the Valley, both by day and night.

The hotel gardens were beautiful, the room clean, the staff helpful and hotel parking was an added bonus.

Based on location we would stay here again.

We spent a very nice 3-day break in the hotel. We very much liked it and certainly would go back to it. Service was excellent, most staff were helpful and always accommodated our requests with a smile. The hotel overlooks the temples, and the rooms with a window in that direction (like ours was) enjoy a wonderful panorama. The park in front of the hotel is impeccably kept, and it's a real tropical garden. Our room was nice, with a desk, a clean bathroom even with a jacuzzi, and we spent a most pleasant three nights there. The only weak point (that could be improved, and this is a suggestion to the hotel's management!) are the room doors: they provide little if any sound isolation, and the old-fashioned locks are horribly noisy. As a result, a single guest reentering late will wake up a whole corridor. Do change the doors :-)
