My wife and I stayed at the Hotel Rojan for four nights at the end of a six week visit throughout northern Italy. We had stayed at various hotels and agriturismos from Rome to Montepulciano to San Gimignano to Lerici. We had never been to Sulmona and, frankly, decided to go on a whim. We found Hotel Rojan on-line, made reservations and headed off by train. This place is fantastic! Great facility in a great location. Large, spotlessly clean rooms. Very nice, traditional Italian breakfast. And best of all, the most gracious hosts. Franco, Rossana, daughter Angela and son GianLucca (owner/operators) treated us like long, lost family. We missed them the minute we left! If you find yourself looking for lodging in Abruzzo, DO NOT miss this place!

If you want to meet wonderful people and strike up a friendship, stay in the family run Rojan Hotel! The kind, caring, supportive, helpful family will take great care of you from the first telephone contact. They'll be your guardian angels: plan your stay in Sulmona and Abruzzo, give you advise where to go, what to eat, where to stop for the great photograph, since they know every corner, every restaurant and every road of surrounding area.
The hotel is meticulously run, rooms are spacious, recently restored, comfortable and cozy, bathrooms are beautiful and speckless. Breakfast served in the spacious dining/meeting hall.
We miss Angela, Gianluca, Rosanna and Franco and wish them all the best.

This wonderful hotel has a terrific location to the main piazza of Sulmona. The family that runs Hotel Rojan is friendly and very helpful. The rooms are large, clean and good air conditioning. We were there when it was very hot in early September and we really needed the air conditioning to work well...it did!. We enjoyed our breakfast in a large and nicely furnished breakfast room which also doubles in the day as a bar. Coffee was good each morning. Sulmona is a town that is worth staying in. Great outdoor market on Weds and Saturdays. When staying in Sulmona we would definitely stay at Hotel Rojan again.

OMG, what a beautiful hotel, run first class by an wonderful and beautiful Italian family. Every detail of this hotel is EXCELLENT. I am not kidding you, this Italian family knows how to maintain, run and make all of their clients 5 STAR happy. It starts with the rooms, they are beautiful beyond belief, everything is brand new. I LOVE the heated towel bars in the bathroom, and they work! Everything in this hotel works! The breakfast was outstanding, yes it was a continental breakfast but so many more choices than other hotels. Angela and Jonlucca speak English and are SOOO helpful. Jonlucca was great in recommending restaurants for us every night. Angela helped us track down some long lost relatives and they also helped us figure out all our transportation needs.

People, if you go to Sulmona, and most people don't, it is the cutest town in Italy, known for their Confetti candy for 100s of years. If you go, stay at Hotel Rojan; you may never want to check out because they treat you like family and take such good care! I LOVE HOTEL ROJAN and yes I will be going back soon. Ciao
