I go here often for a meal usually a Sunday. I have had dinner in the more formal dining room but I enjoy the bar area better. Meals are good sized portions, comfort food. Steaks are a winner although other dishes are lovely too, nice deserts too. Prices reasonable and service also prompt.

Family and friends filled The Ashburn Hotel last weekend when we attended my son's wedding in Lurgan. The hotel is clean and very comfortable and the breakfasts and evening are all freshly cooked and excellent. All the staff without exception were friendly and helpful nothing was too much trouble - would I stay there again DEFINITELY!

We were delighted to find this place - Lovely big comfortable quiet room convenient to all we needed to see in Lurgan. The staff are exceptional - warm , friendly and really go out of their way to make your stay perfect. The food is just fantastic. My husband had the speciality of a ham and chicken layered dish that was just delicious. I had the home made Lasagne which was also very good. Portions are large and the staff kept popping back to see if everything was ok or we needed anything but not in an intrusive way. Breakfast was equally good although the fried potato cakes are an acquired taste. Loads of tea, coffee,& toast all regularly topped up. The place is bit dated but it is very clean & comfortable and the staff, particularly the female waitresses are just so friendly and helpful that they more than makes up for it. The young man in the bar later that evening was equally friendly and helpful.

Room tip: We asked for a quiet room and we got a lovely one at the back of the hotel and you really couldn't hear a sound.

Pauline was very helpful and accommodating to our family. Seven of us stayed here and the facilities were clean, comfortable and very close to the middle of town. Breakfast and Lunch were very, very good and the service was excellent! My brother and his family usually have to reserve two rooms as they have five people, but Ashburn had a lovely room with three single beds and a large double bed as well. So great! Highly recommended.
