Obviously before i booked i had looked at the reviews on Tripadvisor, and there seemed to be a good scoring overall, and everyone seemed to love the kids club, so with 2 4yr olds in tow i was definitely swayed by this.
When we arrived the staff were very welcoming, and the kids were delighted with the kiddy step at check in for them (but they still couldnt see over the counter). We were on the 3rd floor where there seemed to be quite a few families.
The room was very spacious, even after we had gotten an extra mattress put on the floor to accomodate the extra child. The room itself was fine, nice and clean (not 4* luxury) it was clean and spacious and the bathroom was really big which was great. The room we were in looked like it had some small splashes of blood on the walls, but i was thinking that was probably from a kid with a nose bleed and i'm sure once the staff see it they can give it a wipe and it'll be fine. (i'm nitpicking now, it didnt bother me enough to complain)
The breakfast was plentiful and the fact that they serve the breakfast to you was great, but the only issue was the time it sometimes took to get it, and the fact that by the time you get your breakfast yoru toast was cold, but in saying that there was no problem getting a fresh batch. the variety was really good, cereals, fresh pastries, fruit, juices and the good auld irish.
The dinners in the bar were really good, and there was a good menu on offer. The staff were really friendly and helpful and we were delighted to be able to have a lovely meal together while the children were in the kids club. The only complaint that we had about the bar was the fact that they wouldnt change the channel to another match (there were 2 matches on at the same time), they said that people were watching it, but when we looked around nobody was looking at the tv. I suspect that maybe the barman was not a liverpool fan!!!!
Now onto the kids club and the facilities for the children, all i can say is WOW WOW WOW, it was so so nice to have the kids club in the evening, the staff in the club were amazing, and there was a few times when i looked in that i felt that the staff were loving being there as much if not more than the kids. They had endless games to play with the kids and had a ball playing hide & seek, while other staff would watch movies of the kids choice and it looked like every child got the individual attention that they needed. Even though there seemed to be quite a few children in the hotel, when we were having our meal it was fairly child free and chilled and all the adults got to enjoy their time while the kids were having a ball. I really cannot say enough about the staff in the kids club, they were so good and the arts & crafts they done were great too.
The swimming pool and leisure facilities were great too and once again the staff were so helpful and they even helped my hubby plan a surprise massage for me which was really good.
Overall, i must say that i would highly recommend this hotel to anyone from families to business people. The staff in the hotel are second to none and really make the stay more enjoyable. we were given discount cards for local attractions and when we asked for directions they had clearly printed directions ready for us to take with us.
I will definitely be back again. we only went for 2 nights, and i thought that i would need a break after being away for 2 nights with 2 children, but after staying here i really did feel refreshed which was such a welcome change.
Thank you to all the staff for making our stay so enjoyable.

Many thanks for your wonderful review. I am so glad to read that you and the family enjoyed the facilities, the clean and spacious rooms, the variety on offer and friendly staff at breakfast, the leisure and wellness facilities and the Park Bears Kids Club.
Now that high season has ended we have started our room painting programme which should resolve the marks on the wall.
We look forward to hopefully welcoming you back in the future.
