“Overall a good stay!”

We stayed in Hilton Sydney over 2 nights, Fri 2nd - 4th Dec'11. We booked last minute and The Hilton was one of the only hotels with vacancies still left...for this we paid a premium! £600+ for two nights was fairly steep. The hotel location is great, close to all shops, restaurants etc and only a short walk to Darling Harbour to catch a ferry to Circular Quay.
The staff were friendly & attentive & the Executive lounge offered a good range of drinks & snacks. The rooms were nice, clean, but fairly standard...the views from the room were lovely overlooking the city. The bed was very comfy! Infact having travelled all around Australia, and staying in various 3/4/5* hotels i have to say the Hilton bed was the best! Spacious and luxurious i think it was the best two nights sleep we had in weeks!
We had room service one evening which was fairly standard but nice enough for what you're expected to pay.
I would recommend this hotel to others, my only criticism is that it is a little pricey and you could probably shop around and get something a bit more special, you are basically paying for the name. However i would stay here again! If you are lucky enough to be travelling to Sydney and stopping in the Hilton - i'm sure like us, that you will have no complaints! Enjoy.

“A very good location and place to stay”

My wife and I stayed here for two nights across a weekend. We had a Deluxe Room on the 42nd Floor.

The Hilton is in a great central city location next to the QVB and near the Pitt Street Mall. This puts it in easy walking distance of Darling Harbour, the main shopping strip, China Town, the Art Gallery of NSW etc.

It is the first time I have stayed here for many years and the first time since the Hotel was refurbished.

Service was very good throughout our stay - we did not put many demands on it but everyone we encountered was professional, smiling and helpful.

The Hotel decor is smart and sophisticated throughout.

Our room felt a little on the small side for a double with king size bed but this was partly attributable to the way the desk stands out into the room. The decor in the room was modern and smart throughout with almost all functions controllable from the bed (eg all lights, the TV, electronically controlled blinds, etc). The room airconditioning was good. The soaps, shampoos etc are good quality. The shower was great.

Depending on the rate available I would definitely stay again. My qualifications that hold me back from an excellent rating are: 1) The room size - felt a little small; 2) WiFi is available but I gather there is a charge (I am not sure of the cost because I used my own WiFi modem) I do think that WiFi should now be free but find most Sydney Hotels still charge for it; 3) Car parking is on the high side - it cost us $149 for two nights whereas my experience is that CBD Hotel Parking is typically between $45 and $65 per night. On the latter point, to be fair, I should note that the car parking access directly under the hotel is very easy.

Room Tip: We were allocated a room on level 42 (there are 43 levels of which the hotel rooms occupy floors 18...

In relation to your comments pertaining to WiFi, we now provide complimentary WiFi in the lobby and all public areas for all hotel guests. With regards to the car park charges you experienced, our car park is owned by Secure Parking who charge $58.00 per night for valet service or $46.52 for Self Parking. These prices are based on a 24 hour cycle and hourly rates apply thereafter, hence the slightly higher charge you seem to have received.

Should you wish to clarify this, please do not hesitate to contact us directly and we will look into this for you.

However, I am happy to see that you and your wife enjoyed your overall stay and we hope to serve you again in the near future.

“Nice Stay”

Stayed here for 2 nights on Dec29 & 30. Nice hotel, good service and helpful staff. The bed was so comfortable. State of the art fitness and pool area. We couldn't get an early check in without paying extra but they allowed us to use the pool area which was very nice after a long flight. Great latte in the coffee shop downstairs and a nice lunch. Wish I could have stayed her for our whole visit over new years but the price jumped 3 times the regular cost so we went to another hotel for the rest of our stay.

We were impressed. Clean rooms. Nice views. Good location. Very friendly staff. A cleaner/room service guy even voluntarily went out of his way to press the elevator buttons with a smile for me.

The only semi down-side was that it took 14 days for our incidentals deposit to be unfrozen (although there were three public holidays in that period.) But I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

“Class and quality”

This is a wonderful hotel. I travelled for work and was very impressed by the entry, location, rooms, service and decor. It has recently been refurbished and has a fantastic feel. Perfect location for shopping and a walk to anywhere else. The zeta bar is great - wine list extensive- and Glass brasserie is fabulous! Impeccable service and menu. The only small issue is the size of the room- I had a king room, but I did find it a bit small - and my 'king' bed was 2 singles. I would definitely stay here again! Loved it.
