The rooms in this hotel are not very spacious. They were however clean. We were put in a room with ensuite designed for a wheelchair, only problem with that was we needed rubber boots to walk around the bathroom after having a shower. My parents were in a twin room and that was very small $240 a night?? The best part about the hotel were their staff, really good, new their stuff about Sydney.

Thank you for taking the time to share your recent experience with us, we certainly appreciate each piece of feedback that we receive as it gives us a chance to continually improve our service and our hotel.

In relation to your comments regarding the size of the rooms, you may be interested to know that the building that the Pensione Hotel currently resides in was built back in the 1800's. While it is great to be housed in such a fantastic heritage building it does mean that a lot of our rooms are different shapes and sizes, I do apologise that you found your room to be small, and also that you did not enjoy the shower in the room you were in. Please do remember that we do have a 24 hour reception desk so should you encounter any problems the staff are always more than happy to find you a solution.

I am thrilled to hear that you found your room to be nice and clean. We do pride ourselves on ensuring that our housekeeping standards are at a consistently high level. I am also delighted to hear that the staff were able to help you out with your questions about Sydney, we all love sharing our favourite places in Sydney and it's great that we were able to share these with you!

Should you be travelling to Sydney again in the future, please do not hesitate to contact the hotel directly. I would love to offer you one of our larger room styles and ensure your second stay is comfortable and enjoyable.

Thank you very much for taking the time to provide your feedback, we do appreciate all feedback we receive as it helps us to continually improve our service and standards.

I understand that on the night of your stay we experienced problems with our hot water around midnight, I would like to sincerely apologise for the inconvenience that this caused you. As soon as reception was made aware of the situation they did contact the building managers to repair the situation. Unfortunately being that the issue was during the weekend and late at night it was not able to be rectified immediately, for this I apologise.

I am very sorry to hear that you did not find the staff to be helpful in this situation, this is certainly not the norm and we do strive to uphold the best service standards possible, again it is disappointing to hear that you felt that our service was unsatisfactory and I will certainly look into this.

I am pleased to find that the front office staff compensated you for the inconvenience you experienced during your stay and I do hope that in future you will consider booking at the Pensione Hotel Sydney again.

I would like to personally ensure your second stay is up to our usual high standards.

My husband and I stayed here early feb on a monday night. we booked a deluxe double which we found to be simple and perfect for us. the room was cosy, clean and modern and the hotel had an arrival note on our bed congratulating us on our anniversary. i found this to be a thoughtful personal touch. The staff were always very polite, pleasant and professional both on the phone and at front office. Its location on George st with easy access to public transport and landmarks was great as we had planned to do many activities.
We were very happy with our stay and will consider staying here again in a deluxe double. If your not looking for anything overly flash and 5* then I believe Pensione should be considered.

“Fantastic staff,but with a few small improvements rooms would be fine”

The staff were brilliant and consistently helpful and happy to oblige !They are the hotel finest assets.
However the owners need to spend a little money to make huge improvements.
!.Bedside tables and lamps
2 small shelves in bathroom near vanity
3 larger tabletop shelf near fridge
Also the washing machines need to be cleaned out the reek of stale mouldy water !
There was loud duff duff music from club next door till 5am fri/sat (but that really didnt bother too much just went back to sleep.
Loved the Fitness First membership pass to Park st (Great Zumba class with Jorge )

Please management sort the fore mentioned problems out and you will have a brilliant establishment

Thank you for your kind words about our staff, I will be sure to pass on your comments to them all. We also love Fitness First in Park Street! It is a great gym and we love to be able to offer our guests the opportunity to use it during their stays.

In relation to your suggestions I certainly do appreciate your ideas! You may be interested to know we are currently looking at refurbishing our Standard rooms and I will be sure to take into account your suggestions above. Thank you again! I would like to sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused due to the noise disruption – we are also looking into a way of insulating our rooms to eliminate the excess noise that the busy CBD brings.

Should you ever need accommodation in Sydney in future please do not hesitate to contact us directly, we would love to be able to show you the improvements we will be making in the near future!

“missleading information......”

I booked a double room to stay for 2 nights. When we arrived and were directed to our room by h friendly staff member only to walk in to a VERY Petite double which was not what i booked with a old analouge TV. When i questiond this i was told that only the more expensive rooms had LCD TVs (this only was a issue as we were going to be spending a grat deal of time in the room as i was having surgery) even though it was advertised that they all cam with lcd tvs and satalitte tv (2 channelsmusic and repeated old sitcoms) there wasent even all the free to air channels. the room was so small you could barley fit down the side of the bed which was on a diagonal it was more of s converted storage closet than anything else the only redeeming factor was the shower was EPIC!!!

Room Tip: make sure you double check what you are supposed to be booking
