Excellent service by all staff.Clean & comfortable.Food was very good though would have liked more seafood & vegetarian choices on the menu. Location was a bit difficult to find for newcomers to the city

Stayed here for one night as a group of 2 adults and 2 kids. We were in a Standard Twin Room and it was much bigger than the usual rooms we stay in with 2 double beds. I saw on the fire escape map that the other rooms were not of the same size though.
We were about one room from the side of the hotel that has the train passing by and if it wasn't for actually looking out the window we never would have known when they were going past as there was zero noise from outside.
Check in was efficient and easy and we were offered help with any luggage-we parked right outside in the public carpark for free, but they did have secure parking for a charge.
They have screens in the lobby and also on your TV in your room that displays the flights arriving/departing so that was good.
Walking through the lobby we always saw business people, but the kids enjoyed the place.
The room was airy and clean and the beds were really comfortable. I guess if I had to pick something, one of the cushions looked like it was due to be thrown out as there were many loose threads.
The room service menu was okay, very quick though and big portions.
You needed to swipe your room card to get access to your floor from the lift so there was that bit of security.
The pool was on the top floor and was pretty small but nice to look at(was a bit cold to actually go swimming at 7 in the morning though).
Across the road is Woolworths and a couple of other shops and behind that is DFO.
Would definitely stay here again.

Stayed at the Novotel Brisbane Airport for an overnight stay.

The reservation process was easy and deal with in a friendly efficient manner. The check in was effective but the person doing the check in showed a little indifference and certainly was not friendly in any way.

The room was clean and well furnished, with a comfortable bed. The internet at $25 per 24 hours I thought was a little excessive in price, but it was a good speed. We ordered room service for dinner which was delivered within stated period by a friendly server and was good.

Breakfast the next morning was a different matter - in fact is was probably the worse buffet breakfast that I have ever had. The pancakes from a mahine were rubbery and unappetising and the choice of the hot buffet was average.

Check out was quick and easy and the porter very helpful organising a taxi to the international airport.

We were due to stay there after our overseas trip but due to our airline going broke the morning of our flight, we had to fly into Australia via Sydney instead of Brisbane. Katherine in Reservations waived the cancellation fee and removed our booking from the system. Not only was this very much appreciated but it was more of the service attitude that I would have expected from this Hotel.

Overall, I think that this Hotel is more geared to the business traveller but it is in a great location close to the airports and shopping at DFO. I think that it is a little expensive for the product offered.
