“Good place to stay for business”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 January 2012

I liked this hotel, check in and parking were a breeze, room was nice and big and easy to work in and from a business point of view, was just that little bit out of the tourist strip that is Surfers, so handy for work.

Maybe not the greatest location for tourists who want to experience Surfers on their doorstep though.

Room Tip: The views are really nice, so high up is good.

“5 Star - Family Fun - Australias Best Pool - Swim with the Fish”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 January 2012

Firstly let it be known that you will get the best rate on the company web page. I searched all the well known discount sites and their own page offers the exact prices plus they offer many upgrade options.

I loved the location (a bit away from the heart of CBD and crowds) you can visit but the mases dont bother you or otherwise invade the resort.

The staff was great, the property very nice and the pool is the best I've ever been in. My kids loved swimming with the 100's of fish. Schools of them. The coral reef attached all the tropical fish. It was endless fun.

I will be back !

Room Tip: ask in advance and pay that little extra if need be. Travel outside school holidays for upgrades

“Surfers paradise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 January 2012

We took a nine hour drive from our gorgeous beach home up the coast to surfers paradise, the hotel is stunning, they even have a mini size snorkelling area which was great for me as a beginner. food in australia is lovely wherever you go, fresh seafood which is very affordable, fresh fruit and veg, there is nothing that will disappoint your palate, great wines, vineyards are really worth a visit or two or three, restaurants you can take your pick from the cheap and nasty for the dole bludger or the fine and decadent for those with some class about them, the whole of oz is known for its beaches, and you will never be disappointed, if you have a criminal record or fit into the jeremy kyle run of the mill foull mouth, lying, aggressive type, dont bother, the aussies wont let you in and they will gang up to shame you and have you booted out of the country. one bludger i met has a criminal record and was sick enough to tell peopl he could sit with his teenage daughter to select ann summers stock for her to sell, and he will never be allowed into australia, once a criminal always a criminal i say. i have done six trips to oz and lived there for nearly four years, i intend to move there soon.

“Pleasant stay but not as good as some other 5star hotels”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 January 2012

We stayed for a week in January school hols
initial maintenance problems with room quickly rectified by a most pleasant tradie, but bathroom could have been cleaner- hair in hairdryer drawer and in bath. Toiletries had not been replenished and mini bar item missing. Water pressure poor in the shower. Lovely big bath to soak in.

Rooms are smallish but comfortable. We had a river view which was good especially the beautiful sunsets. Beds comfortable. Room service staff lovely.

Foodwise room service meal was not apetising however main restaurant good and waiters were most attentive. special mention to Dennis who looked after us. Benihanas tepenyaki is also good and a bit cheaper.

We were also well looked after at the spa.

The pool area is nice however it was crowded and there were no loungers left. Even the balanese style daybeds at the lagoon pool (extra charge $55 dollars for half day) were booked out. Lagoon was very salty and murky probably due to the high number of users and few fish to be seen. Kids enjoyed the water slide and whirl pool.

check in and out efficient. Concierge helpful. Overall a pleasant but not exceptional experience.

“Outstanding refurb, incredible service!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 January 2012

A $75 upgrade option to
The elandra exec club was well worth the investment!

The standard room was well above ALL expectations. A large marble
Bathroom with bath was appreciated. F+B service was the only let down with most YOUNG staff not knowing much but good on the whole. Thanks Marriott!
