We had an overnight stay to attend The Entertainment Centre and can thoroughly recommend this wonderfully located Hotel.From the welcoming, helpful concierge to the prompt checkin by friendly Front Office staff. Our room was very clean and comfortable, well appointed with wonderful views overlooking Adelaide oval and Festival centre. Very quiet room on the 14th floor with no street noise.We dined in Rickshaws restaurant. An excellent meal with a good selection of wine available. Tram stop is less than 5 minutes walk from front of Hotel, which we used to get to Entertainment Centre.Breakfast buffet was huge and delicious. Valet parking was very helpful and our car was ready when asked. All staff were helpful and very friendly which made our stay very enjoyable.

I stayed in the Stamford Plaza in September last year, and again in November. When I stayed in September I had a room in which the light did not work, so I had to walk through the dark to the bathroom before getting some light.

The bathroom is old, my shower taps were very hard to turn on. Shower in the bath with a shower curtain.

The location of the hotel is very good, with an easy walk to the river and to Rundle Mall. Gouger Street restaurants are a bit further to walk.

The gym is quite small with only two treadmills, and can fill up quickly.

I really liked that I could place a card on my pillow in the morning to choose whether I wanted room service. They took $10 off my bill for each morning I did this, and it pretty much paid for my internet bill.

Overall I think this hotel was ok to stay in for a few days, but nothing fancy.

I visited Adelaide for the very first time after 3 years in Australia for a week long business trip. I arrived at the hotel around 8:45 PM, and was in my ro0m within 5 mins. The reception staff was very nice and quick. The hotel has elegant decor, size able reception hall, best of all a refreshing aroma that makes you feel welcomed.

My room was of a good size with queen bed, and was serviced really well. The room furnishing, carpet, ward robs, and bathroom were also modern and good ones. I liked everything apart of size of the TV, the slight bigger TV might have made me to go over 100% satisfied.

Hotel has a good relaxing atmosphere, and be with a good mattress that makes you sleep tight all night..what else you need while traveling. Hotel location is very good too, its right in front of Adelaide station to catch train or tram, close to Adelaide oval (cricket ground) and 5 mins walk to Rundel st (Full of restaurants).

This was a great hotel with a good price. Rooftop pool and spa was very welcome after very hot days in Adelaide. Air con in room could have been better, but I believe that this will be upgraded in the near future. Breakfast was terrific - more than adequate. Both consierges were helpful. This hotel is central to everything you need in Adelaide - The cricket ground (which you can see from the hotel), zoo, art gallery and museum - all worth a visit. My only disappointment (apart from the air con) was the view from our room. Our room was on the 'wrong side' of the hotel. Overlooked the tin roof below. Next time I will ask for a room facing the Cricket ground and the river. Overall a good stay in Adelaide and will definitely stay here again if and when the air con is fixed.
