We spent a weekend in November 2011 at the Rydges to celebrate our 25th anniversary in a Club King Room - Do Not Disturb Package. Continental breakfast delivered to the room each morning.
Check in and out was easy and hassle free.

The room was fine for our needs. Clean and well kept with a view overlooking Northbridge. Other than that I have to say it was an average room.

We made use of the Club Lounge on both days in the afternoon. It had a reasonable selection of drinks, service was good and the waitress was friendly, cheerful and ready to help. The selection of canapes I thought could have been a little more diverse but if all you wanted were a few nibbles then it was more than adequate. It was a good place to start the evening before venturing out into the city of Northbridge.

We were happy to be given a Rydges discount card for the bar and restaurant which we again made use of. Dining at the the restaurant, food and service was good.

The hotel is in the heart of the city so idea to use as a base when out and about exploring. Located close to a number of bars and restaurants.

All in all it was a nice excuse to get away but it was an average hotel. I'm sure we'll return there again but not in the near future.

I spent the weekend at this very conveniently located hotel in the middle of Perth city with a friend for a girls weeekend.

The check in process was quick and easy and the view from the room spectacular. Dinner at the CBD restaurant below was lovely. I didn't get a chance to try the breakfasts due to the wonderful french cafe just down the road but I am sure that they were good based on the diners that we passed. Shafto Lane is incredibly close to this hotel and definitely worth checking out for the range of eating opportunities.

During my stay there was a problem with the light in the bathroom but this was quickly fixed.

I had no major complaints about the stay, but would advise you to check the use by dates on minibar items. Whilst I didn't partake, I did notice that of the 3 packets of chips, 2 were nearly a month out of date.

We stayed in one the Spa suites for our wedding night. The room was gorgeous and very spacious. What did impress us was the personalised service we received, a bottle of bubbly in ice in our room when we arrived. Although my husband did try to take credit for it, the "congratulations" card did give it away! The late check out of 1.00pm was great and at no extra charge! It allowed us to sleep in, have room service for breakfast and just relax as husband and wife. Just perfect....

My husband & I have stayed at this hotel numerous times in the past 13 years. Since having children we haven't been for a couple of years. My husband thought he would surprise me for my 30th birthday & to have a break as I am 8 months pregnant, & he arranged a night stay at the Rydges.

We were charged a total of $658 for one nights stay in a queen bed room that shared the wall with the four lifts, valet parking & breakfast.

Due to the room location, there was no view, & neither of us got a good nights sleep due to the constant rattle, bang & whirr of the lifts.

The room package came with breakfast for one, & we were charge 28 for the other breakfast- which was cold & stale at 9 am.

On paying such a ridiculous price, no one asked how our stay was, or of we enjoyed it.
All in all- a terrible stay, I definately don't recommended it & the service was terrible.

So not only did we pay a huge price for a small, pokey room next to the lifts but the staff couldn't care less about their customers.

Such a disappointment - we will never stay at the Rydges again!
