This is a quirky hotel - some rooms look out over an inside corridor, there are stairs to climb before accessing the old fashioned lift, the rooms all seem to be slightly different sizes. We thought this lent the place character, something sadly lacking in many modern city-centre hotels.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
Breakfast cannot be beaten. We braved the live music one night to try the smorgasbord and were very pleased we did, it was excellent.
The one poor point we noted was one of the rooms we stayed in (we made two visits either end of a tour to the Margaret River region) had a noisy air conditioner that didn't want to respond to the controls. A mild irritant at worst.
