I jut finished a 2 day stay at Miss Maudes and my overall experience was fantastic. The room and ensuite were well maintained and very clean. The room was a decent size with firm double/queen bed, large flatscreen tv and working air-con. I asked for a quiet room which I got. The staff were friendly and helpfull especialy the restaurant staff and the free buffet breakfast is absolutely awesome. Mmmm very very happy will definitely come back to Miss Maudes when im in Perth again.

We stayed here 2 separate nights.
It is clean, efficient with an excellent location . Our first room was large for a hotel room , looking out over the street. A little noisy as we stayed a Saturday night but not unbearable. Certainly slept OK. Our second room was smaller and tucked away in the back. Again perfectly comfortable and clean. Breakfasts are great and included in the cost.
The hotel is almost a time warp of the 1970's including the music at breakfast. Seems to cater for the older age group and business men .
Service at the desk was efficient but a smile would have been nice. No bag service so don't have bulky heavy bags as you will need to carry them up and down stairs.
Better value for money than a lot of the top line hotels

I stayed here on a recent business trip. Perth prices are a bit crazy at the moment, even for some modest rooms, so decided to try something a little different. Price was half what standard corporate options offered, and included breaky.

Having checked TripAdvisor, I was hoping for a nice stay, but not sure what it would be like. The room was narrow, but well set up, in fact better and more practical than the layout in a larger four star hotel I stayed in recently. A neat small but again well laid-out, clean and brightly lit bathroom, ample space to do some work, albeit in a room a little smaller than I am used to.

No views from many rooms, due to adjacent buildings, but everything worked and I was very comfy. Excellent dinner in the restaurant. I didn't fancy their very popular and exceptional value Smorgasbord, just my mood, so had choices from the a la carte menu. Very pleased, and excellent value.

I like a firm bed, and so was over the moon when I settled in to sleep. Best sleep I've had in a hotel in ages. Awoke, excellent hot shower, very fine buffet breakfast - as good a selection as top notch places, and better prepared than most. That's all my basic needs checked - work space, good bed, nice meal, hot shower, nice breakfast!

All in all, excellent value, very comfortable and cosy. If you fancy the standard modern affair, this isn't for you, but if you like a place with character, really nice staff, excellent food, a comfortable night's sleep and all for a good price, I would heartily recommend it. I'll be going back. Next time, I'll try and get a superior room with a balcony, although they are hard to get, this hotel seems very popular with people who know about it.

We arrived in the late evening at the Miss Maud hotel and had a problem getting in - not helped by the fact that the taxi dropped us at the restaurant entrance instead of the hotel entrance. But eventually the night clerk opened up for us and helped us to a basic room. OK for one night, we thought. But breakfast in the restaurant the next morning could well have persuaded us to stay longer next time. The eponymous owner made her name selling Swedish pastries and delicacies in a shop before opening her restaurant and hotel and the tradition has been maintained. A great choice of pretty-well anything you wanted for breakfast - and hotel residents get special treatment. And the hotel is very well located in the CBD noit far from shopping malls and the ferry.
