When on business in Auckland have often stayed at this location since it first opening back in the late 1980s or early 1990s when it was part of the Pan Pacific chain.Have continued to visit outside business as the location is ideal for central city accomodation and we have always been satisfied with room standard and front desk service. Unfortunately during a recent stay an early morning call requested by our son who was also staying, was not carried out and as a consequence if we had not followed up with our own call he and his wife and small child may well have missed their return flight to Tokyo. A stressful situation created that was not necessary when staying at such an establishment.
The issue was taken up with on duty desk staff who were apologetic but stress levels high with time limit pressure to get to International airport.Tardiness for this basic service is not expected from an establishment of this standing.
