I stayed here for 2 nights from 3 - 5 Feb. I booked online and paid for a Grand Celebration package which was for a luxury king city view room with parking.

The pros of this hotel are: location, parking, clean, rooms were a good size and they served the most delectable strawberry macaroons in the evenings! There was also 30 mins free wi- fi per day.

The cons were: they tried to charge us $40 a night for parking and then still insisted on charging us $10 a night even though the online site said parking was included; we asked for an extra blanket one night and they rang back to say they couldn't find one; the spa and pool are sandwiched along one skinny closed in wall around the corner from the gym making it a pretty undesirable place to spend time to unwind; the "city view" was a view of the skytower if you look up into the sky and otherwise overlooked the outside terrace of the hotel which was a floor below; there was a wedding on in the terrace area one night which I think we should have been told about on check in because it was pretty loud.

I know it sounds like a lot of cons but given the price I paid for the room online (and to be honest the macaroons made up for a lot of the cons!) I wouldn't rule out staying again at an online price.

The restaurant is awesome , beautiful food

The SkyCity Grand was a great place to stay. The rooms were large, clean, and comfortable. The location is terrific and very close to the waterfront. The Grill restaurant attached to the lobby had a great wine list, excellent steaks, and fantastic sides (the Mac and Cheese was unbelievable). We found a great deal on booking.com, so the room was more affordable than I'd expected. All in all, I would definitely recommend the hotel.

just had a weekend at the Grand on one of the hotels special packages, cannot fault any of it, is on my do again list and I only live 30 minutes from it
