We booked to stay at The Alandale as it had such great reviews on TripAdvisor. We were not disappointed. To start with the service was fantastic. We were unsure when we would get in to the motor inn and ended up being quite late and out of reception hours. However we received a call from the owner en route who let us know she had put the key in the door and milk in the fridge and we could just go straight in and settle everything in the morning. When we did go in to settle the bill, they very kindly charged even less than they had quoted and were generally very warm and welcoming. The room was lovely. Clean, bright, well fitted out with beds, table, chairs, tv, coffee, tea etc and the bathroom was compact but not cramped. And although right on the highway, my friends and I fell straight asleep with no interruption from traffic noise.
Although we only stayed overnight and did not get to spend much time there, we would highly recommend the Alandale and found it a fantastic place to nestle down after a long tiring drive.

We booked a last minute accommodation and was surprise about the quality of the rooms. They have the mod-cons though in a charming retro feel that some good boutique hotels in the city or abroad is trying to revive but there is a honest and genuine feel to it. Linens are clean which you would not expect from a motor inn and room smelt clean and well maintained. You have a good view of the bush when you take a bath and it transport you somewhere. The Cattleman's Steakhouse was a another surprise, we were hesitant to go and did not make any booking since we only saw a couple of cars park outside but wow ! The steak is better than what you would get from a 4 hatted restuarant in sydney or melbourne - and we paid $ 85 for two that includes a bottle of a 2006 cabernot merlot from their wine list. Allyn and his wife the owner is very helpful in a warm way making the overnight experience memorable. Will do comeback next time we're in Tamworth ! Good job

The Alandale motor inn provided clean, comfortable, quiet accommodation and friendly service. A little out of town but this did not matter as I was travelling between Sydney and Brisbane and it was on the highway and easy to find.

I recently visited the Alandale Motel in Tamworth which I believe I found listed on your website. I found the staff extremely helpful, the accomodation was excellent for what I was looking for. Even better the motel had a excellent restuarant & the food was just superb. I can't wait to tell the rest of my friends about the great country hospitality from Alandale Motel at Tamwoth.CheersDavid Bradshaw.
