This was a great motel for us, plenty of room for the 4 of us in the 1 bedroom apartment with room to spread and rot out all our gear ( we were returning from a 4 day tramp / hike). Not fancy but clean and roomy. Would recommend especially for families. Good laundry abilities and a playground for the kds.

Having stayed here previously we were disappointed to find the motel had not kept up its excellent standard. The grounds were unkept, the stairs broken up and felt unsafe. Having originally booked a groundfloor unit we received a request to move to the upstairs 1 bedroom unit, we had agreed to this in order to avoid inconveniencing other guests. There was no on site manager other than in the mornings. The manager was helpful and friendly and told us the place was up for tender, it was time to move on. Maybe she was as tired as the business had beome. Hopefully the new owners can bring it back up to its good standard for our next visit.

Room tip: I would request a room with a view near the back it feels less 'hotel like'

My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights, to recharge our batteries and to be not too far from Queenstown.
We chose a 1-bedroom unit upstairs. It suited our needs perfectly as the price reflected a slightly dated place, though very functional.
The kitchenette has a 2-hob stove, microwave oven, fridge and enought utensils and pots/pans for our stay. The bathroom had a modern shower (with hand-shower which I prefer) and towels were changed daily. The bedroom had a queen-size bed with heating pad and was quite comfortable. The lounge with 2 sofas and TV (not many channels though) looked out on front patio and rosebushes.Laundry room downstairs had 3 washers ($3 incl soap) and 2 dryers ($2 coin) and 2 large outside clotheslines.BBQ. Children's playground. Walking distance to small dairy-shop.
Quiet street and not far from wineries or picturesque Arrowtown.

Room tip: This motel is in a residential area, so peace and quiet are guaranteed.

We used this motel as a base for visiting Queenstown, for which it is quite convenient. We had a first floor, one bedroomed unit which was spacious, comfortable and well equipped. The parking is a short distance from the units but this wasn't a problem for us. We stayed for two nights and found it very pleasant and relaxing.

We travelled for 2 weeks through the south island and this was the only accomodation we were disapointed with. Was $210 a night for three bedrooms which was most expensive place we stayed. Motel was small and old. WHen we asked the lady in reception what to do in arrowtown, she suggested we go to Queenstown instead. Very long walk to town. Arrowtown is beautiful though
