My husband and I (in our 70's) recently spent 2 weeks at Hillhaven in Unit 22.,centrally sited in the middle of building.,It had a perfect view over the ocean and to Surfers Paradise and Broadbeach. The unit was equipped with ceiling fans, the kitchen was very adequately provided---and we could watch TV---and look out at the amazing view while stuck behind the bench preparing a meal!
Very comfortable sofas and chairs and we appreciated the grab rails in Shower and lavatory.The main bedroom had the same vast views as the main room---the smaller back bedroom takes 2 people---obviously a popular unit for children by the games and surf boards left to use.
Sabrina and Keith,the managers,were most helpful with car hire---places to eat-shops to go to. There was a flyer in our Unit advertising being able to go to the supermarket,down the main Street,and be driven back home,plus groceries---free of charge! An invaluable help when you first arrive and have not hired a car ! You have to buy a minimum of $50---which was more than easy to do.
The Headland walks on our doorstep were varied and a delight for runners and lovers of flora and fauna.Turkeys are always busily building huge nests of leaves Geckkos giving you the occasional fright.!
Endless beach walks--wonderfully reasonable meals at all the Surf Life Saving Clubs.
Catch a train to Brisbane South (from handy Varsity Lakes) to the fantastic Cultural Centre .Always a blockbuster at the Art Galleries there and a really fun day out to go on the train!
We read books (lots provided in the shelves)--ate out--in--watched the Surfers beneath us --had a few days exploring hinterland..and slept with the waves lulling us to sleep. In the early morning dawn most Units seemed to have a photographer positioning him or herself,on their balconies taking the best photo ever!
We were lucky to see some of the other units.They are very varied---some are totally ultra modern --- many recently done up,(including 22) Each different so all have a varied character. Modern Artworks---our Unit had Art done by the owner.
We lived overseas but there is no place that has the same beauty, warmth and peace as we had those 2 weeks at Hillhaven!

There were three of us on our trip to Burleigh and we stayed in apartment 35 on the top floor, one of the Gold Deluxe apartments. It was worth every cent - the apartment had just been completely refurbished throughout and everything in it was of the highest possible quality. The staff were friendly and helpful and the free parking was a bonus. WiFi is available, but at a cost. The master bedroom and lounge open out onto a large balcony, with views of Burleigh Heads beach and right down to Surfers Paradise. The beds were all really comfortable and the apartment had a dishwasher, washing machine and dryer. Everything in the kitchen was top of the range and it was really well equipped. We wish we had had longer there, and would go back in a heartbeat. It had everything you could possibly want, and peace and quiet as well. Probably the best apartment we've ever stayed in.

Absolutely beautiful location, the apartment number 25 was amazing and quirky with lots of mod cons. Will definately stay again and hope to come back on a yearly basis. We have no hesitation in recommending Hillhaven to everyone, great for couples, great for families with small children and families with teens.

We go to Hillhaven at least twice a year from Brisbane. We'd go more too if we could! Don't know if I want to spread the word too far, but no where on the coast would you get this close to the sea and beautiful Burleigh Headland.
The units are excellent. Love the front bedroom. Back bedrooms are sometimes a lilttle dark and small, but I always get the front bedroom so not complaining too much.
Sabrina and Keith are very helpful and welcoming.
We would never go anywhere else on the Coast! :)
