This B&B was an absolute find. It is about 20 minutes outside of downtown Prague on the #18 tram line, which is NOT a problem. The tram station is ~ 100 meters from the hotel.

From the outside, you don't have any inclining of what you will find when you open the gate to the grounds. It's a hidden wonderland. The rooms are wonderful with all of the character you would expect from a building that has hundreds of years worth of history.

The owners are unbelievably friendly and helpful and speak very good English. A great breakfast is included with the room. In addition, dinner is also available if you prefer to eat in (the food was very good).

Another HUGE advantage is that parking is provided inside the B&B grounds, which are completely surrounded by a wall and remote controlled gates, so you have absolutely no concerns about security (not that we at any time during our stay in Prague had any concerns about crime or security).

The only challenge we had was finding the place when we drove here by car. If you don't speak the language, a VERY good map is essential. A GPS unit would have really come in handy, not only to find this hotel, but also to navigate to the other places we visited in the Czech Republic.

NOTE: The hotel has excellent clay tennis courts on the grounds which would be a huge plus for anyone who is interested in the game.

Never have we been treated with such attention and help at a hotel. Milos helped make our stay in prague to be wonderful. From the really good breakfasts at the Pension to telling us what to see in Prague. If I go back this is where we will stay for sure. The hotel itslef is amazing-an old windmill estate that was converted to a hotel just outside of prague. Easy to get to the center of the city.

Milos, Blanca and staff were the best! Our flight arrived in the morning, and it was such a joy to be greeted by a smiling Milos who allowed us to check in early (not simply drop our bags and come back later). We were able to get a much-needed nap before enjoying our first day in Prague (after some helpful tips from Milos and Blanka).

Room was impeccable. Gardens at the estate were beautiful. And the food was superb (if you don't already know--Milos is a retired chef, although he didn't appear "retired" as he cooked several delightful meals for us in addition to the delicious daily breakfast that was provided with the room).

I hope to return very soon. This will be my "home away from home" in Praha!

This a wonderful place to stay in Prague. Milo and his family are great hosts. As some have stated previously, Milo is a great chef and it is worth coming back to the hotel for dinner, which we did every night. You are very near one of the tram stops that will get you essentially anywhere within 20 minutes. Bottom line, this is where you will want to stay in Prague.

Pension Vetrnik is half-way between Old Town and the Airport. It is the perfect location as it is in a park, but is only a 20 minute tram ride to the Charles Bridge. The family is very hospitable. We arrived exhausted and jet lagged at 10 a.m. and were able to check into our room. They were even able to fix us yummy soup and salad for lunch.
They serve a large made to order breakfast which includes your choice of omlette. Breakfast was large enough that we were able to skip lunch with no problem. Their philosophy is that you own all the food on your breakfast table so making a sandwich for lunch is no problem.
Milos is an award winning chef and is able to make dinner upon request. We found the food delicious and the prices very reasonable. He even lit a fire.
The park location makes this the perfect location to ease into your vacation.
