We were in Prague for the Christmas Markets and we were so happy to be a bit away from the chaos. Kristina showed us how to use the Metro and we were just 3 stops (7 minutes?) from the center of it all, but had a quiet place away from the madness. Also, the restaurants around tourist areas are crazy expensive. It was nice to have so many reasonably priced choices right up the street from our hotel. Breakfast is wonderful and Kristina is so helpful and really makes the trip wonderful. Our room was perfect and the kitchen was well stocked. I burdened Kristina with too much laundry but when traveling with family it is so nice to be able to have it done! The whole basement is a huge playroom for kids - beautifully decorated. If you're traveling with kids there is no better place to be.

My 22-year-old daughter and I stayed here for four nights. Kristina walked us through a map of the city and the main sights. Without a heavily researched plan of our own, we followed her advice for the most part and it worked out great. The immediate block where the hotel is located is a little run down. But a subway stop is just a couple blocks away and perhaps the best, modern shopping center in the city is only 4 or 5 blocks away and there are plenty of eating options nearby. With decent weather, all of the main tourist stops in Prague are within walking distance. Kristina graciously upgraded us to a two-bedroom unit since it was a slow time of year. And we took advantage of the unexpected laundry offer. It was clean and comfortable. Kristina's cheerfulness permeates the place.

This is a great place to stay in Prague. Kristina takes care of you from before you arrive and makes sure you know what to see, how to see it, and also takes care of whatever you need. Laundry was free and breakfast was included for those travelling solo too!

Rooms were clean and had the basics you need. Easy walk to everything. Great shopping centre for whatever you need nearby. Try the nearby restaurant the Thirsty Deer, it was delicious.

First of all, all the rave reviews about Kristina are absolutely true! We arrived on a rainy evening (after having taken the wrong tram) and she was waiting for us with warm drinks, croissants (left over from breakfast) and maps and information for our stay. She assured us to immediately drop our bags and made my husband a cappuccino and myself a wonderful hot chocolate. She gave us very helpful information marked on the map for what we should see while in Prague. The apartments are good size! We received a free upgrade (we came during the off season so it may have been slow) and the apartment was huge! It was as big as my husband's college apartment. It had a living room with a small table, a kitchen area, small fridge, and a separate bathroom and bedroom. The bedroom had a TV as well as the living area. The bed was large and comfortable and we had plenty of blankets to be comfortable. The bathroom was on the smaller side but was fine for one person at a time. The shower always had hot water and a good pressure. The apartments were about a 15-20 minute walk from Old Town where a lot of shopping and some sites are, and also probably 10-15 minutes from the castle area. It is less than 5 minutes walk to the river which is beautiful to walk along day or night. We always felt safe walking around and Kristina assured us the area was safe. We never were out too late though. There are two great restaurants near the apartments, one next door, which Kristina recommended and one around the corner which is owned by the Staropramen brewery. They had fantastic food (get the pork knuckle) and beer! The breakfasts at Aparthotel City 5 were good. Cereal, meats, cheeses, fruit, croissants, apple strudel, and best of all are Kristina's toasties. They're like warm ham and cheese sandwhiches, we definitely missed them after we came back home. She will also make you hot drinks like cappuccinos, hot chocolate, and has tea and juices available. We loved Prague and would stay here again in a heartbeat for when we return!

What a fabulous introduction to Prague. Nothing was too much trouble and Kristina's assistance ensured we ticked off our sightseeing list. We stayed in a small apartment on the 1st floor, serviced by a lift if needed. Spotlessly clean room, full size fridge, plenty of crockery and cooking tools. Sensational local shopping centre close by, as is the metro and tram. Pleasant walk into the city along the river takes no time. Wonderful children's play room in the basement with table tennis and game consoles. Breakfast available each morning with excellent hot drinks and pastries. Driver pick up from airport and train station made for easy travel. We couldn't have selected a better place to stay. Two very happy Aussie travellers!!!
