This is the starting point for many of the G Adventure Trips in SE Asia, though they have taken to using a nicer hotel 10 minutes walk down the road as well. I have stayed in the Bangkok Centre four times, twice as part of a tour and twice solo.

It's a distinctly average hotel.
- Rooms are alright, some bigger and better maintained than others.
- Swimming pool is okay
- Food in the restaurant is overpriced and not particular big so grab dinner elsewhere. Breakfast was quite good in my opinion.
- Front desk is below par if you do not speak Thai.
- Wi Fi is very hit and miss and codes last per 24 hours which was a bit of a pain when we spent a night but needed to stay longer than 24 hours there.
- It's very far away from the Khao San Road so for those backpackers that want to be in the centre of the backpackers district, or near Wat Pho/Wat Arun/Grand Palace it's way ou the way.
- On the flipside it's near Chinatown and right across the road from Bangkok's main train station Hualamphong and near the delights of MBK and Siam Paragon malls.

Not a bad hotel to jump start Thailand trips from but if you're staying in Bangkok for a few days I'd book somewhere else.

We stayed for two nights as part of a G adventures tour. Hotel looked nice from the lobby and we checked in early ( about 10am). Reception staff could be more helpful as they did not advise us of the free wifi or provide us with a map. The pool area is nice and the breakfast fine with a reasonable selection. I think you could find a better hotel for the advertised amount per night. Taxis to koh san road about 100 baht and tuk tuk to Siam square about 80baht. The golden buddah temple is walkable and china town is also close by.

The hotel isn't up to much but it's alright if all you want is a decent nights sleep and some breakfast. We stayed here as part of a tour with G Adventures so we didn't actually pick the hotel but it was fine for the night. I don't know about other rooms in the hotel but from our experience but if you're looking for a hotel with a view I wouldn't get my hopes up if staying here. It was pretty grim.

I have my trip with my family at Bangkok Centre Hotel in September 2014, the Hotel location is not good since there are no shop, food, restaurant nearby. One terrible thing that I have to experience which I have to stay in twin smoking room even I have request king bed + extra bed room for me, my wife and my daughter. I call to front desk for changing room, but have no result, the staff said they are fully booking, but I am sure that they lied because I have check on Agoda, they still have room available.
I think this Hotel need a big renovation since everthing is too old and out of date. One more tip, breakfast is also boring for everyone could have a smile. I will definitely not to come back here.

Room tip: Keep a distance away from this Hotel

I liked my room on first viewing. But later my bathroom was scattered with cockcroachs. I had to put a towel on the floor so they wouldn't come into the room. The staff are friendly and helpful. The taxi people they call for you are hopeless and will rip you off. Breakfast was alright. Wifi was good.
