Over the last month or so we travelled all over Thailand. This hotel was the first we stayed in. It was classified as 'Superior'. I must say that we were initially disappointed however as our vacation continued we came to realise that Thai hotels are simply not up to the standard that UK travellers come to expect. By other Thai hotel standards this was a 'four rather than a two'.
The hotel was in a great location, slightly hidden away and off the main street. Our room was clean, well presented but very tired. Breakfast was very good (we were on a b&b rate), did not eat at the hotel other than breakfast so am unable to comment about other meals.
I take on board other comments about location from other reviewers but Bangkok is a vast city, that does not appear to have a central heart. Rides to the main attractions are by Tuk Tuk (they are a must) are less than £2. And if you want to travel further afield the Skytrain (an overground metro system) is fantastic with 20-30 minute journeys less that £0-50
The staff are well trained and very helpful, with all speaking good English. There is a great little pool on the roof that is a haven from the city. The city itself is very polluted, and is everything that you hear of it. If you don't want to see predatory dirty old men and women with young Thai women/men don't even consider staying anywhere in Bangkok.
