The Tamarind Village was so wonderful. My boyfriend and I went on a Thai excursion which lead us to this hotel. Being from the states we were staying in American hotels for convenience but I must say that this hotel was FABULOUS! It is definitely in the center of town and close to everything. The charm of the hotel is one that is undescribable..from the staff to the rooms, to the absolutely amazing restaurant and pool we couldn't have chosen a better place to stay. At first we were up to stay at the Le Meriden but this definitely was a much better choice!

If your budget can afford a small splurge, look no further than this stunning oasis in the heart of town. The food was also sensational and the ambience unparalleled. We stayed for four nights after a more cost-conscious trip through northern Thailand and Burma so required some luxury, calm and pampering. And we got that in spades.

we stayed at the Tamarind Village during new year and we found that it was a very beautiful Thai style resort. Walking around the town area, visiting temples was very convenient for us. No need to spend so much on taxi fares. Rooms is simple but elegant. We shall return next season.

We spent 6 nights at Tamarind Village 2 weeks ago. One of the best choices of hotel we ever made. We got 2 massages, a 6 course meal (which was exquisite) and a half day trip to the Lanna temple as part of our package (Many thanks to Suvit who drove us around and gave us explanations). The staff at reception was very useful and there for every single question we had on places to go, bookings for external activities...The room was great, the bed comfortable and the small balcony very cute. The breakfast...gorgeous (unforgettable pancakes!). The restaurant staff (we took almost all of our dinners there considering the price and quality) was very nice. Big thumbs up for the staff at the Spa. They are nice and polite, and mostly very competent (at least more than at the other places we went to during our trip). We will definitely return to Tamarind.
