We stayed 6 nights in Rati Lanna Riverside and feel like a VIP the minutes after we arrived. The staff took us a through tour to hotel facilities and explained all details we need in a short time. Hotel and rooms are very well decorated. Though food is barely enough choice in the breakfast but at this price it is worth for the money.

We are specially impressed by the Front Office Manager who took good care of my daughter and one of my friend during their emergency stop at a nearby hospital. He arranged car and explained very details in Thai language to hospital reception. After that, he even sent a basket of rose to our rooms personally.

This is probably the best hotel after my 20 years of worldwide travel / business trip.

It would definitely be a big loss if you come to Chiang Mai but not staying here.

Stayed at this hotel in January 2012.....large, beautiful room with great view of the Ping River and much of Chiang Mai. The service was excellent....our breakfast buffet was quite good and we had a delicious dinner at the hotel for a reasonable price. The only drawback was that we were about 3 kilometers from the Night Market....too far to walk. The hotel is also quite close to the Airport but we never heard a sound.

We stayed here again last year. This was the third time. We brought our daughter and son in law and they fell in love with it as well. The Ratilanna is amazing value. The finishes are exquisite. I believe they own a timber carving business as well, hence all the beautiful timber work (not tacky). A fantastic pool overlooking the river. The rooms could not be any better, we call it modern Thai style. Breakfasts first class. Once we mentioned perhaps bananas would be a nice change and guess what, the next morning... The gym is very well fitted out. The staff very helpful and professional. Meals at other times were also well presented and tasty. You feel very special yet you shake your head when looking at the low cost. We are approaching 60 but hire a scooter and explore Chiang Mai. Or just hire a driver and travel up the mountain. Look for the restaurants as rated here, especially the vegetarian ones. We love boutique, unique hotels - this fits the bill. It is what makes Thailand so special, and the Ratilanna is an Oasis after a long day. And Chiang Mai is our favourite location in Thailand.

Luv the night lightings while enjoying the piano playing from the Malin Pavillion during evenings till late night from our Balcony with a nice day bed.

Beautiful candle lights along the stairs to Rio Restaurant & Wine Bar in the evenings. Claiming sound of running water around the resort compound.

Outdoor breakfast @ Mira Terrace during winter mornings with the Ping river view is unforgettable. Don't miss the in house activities "Traditional Merit Making". Daily opportunity time 7.30 a.m @ report pier, complimentary foods & flowers provide by the resort.

This 5 stars boutique resort is suitable for family & friends as well.
