“An fabulous relaxing recharging hotel”

We arrived with our two teenagers for new year 2011, you are taken to a villa by an electric cart, the villa was fanatstic with its own pool, jacuzzi and deck area, the teens were tired by the late night partying on the beach, so the next night we dined on our terrace, fabulous romantic meal while the teens slept, cooked by your own chef served by your own waiter, absolutely brilliant. we repeated this later with the barbecue. The whole experience was very bonding, beautiful setting to relax and regenerate our batteries. Only draw back was they don't like debit cards.

Dear alexBath,

Greetings from sunny Samui!

Thank you for choosing our resort to ring in the New Year and for taking the time to offer your comments. I am pleased to read that your family enjoyed a relaxing and rejuvenating holiday together and that you and your wife were able to spend some time alone while dining in the comfort of your villa. We seek to offer fun-filled holidays for families or romantic getaways for couples, and it sounds as though you were able to delight in both during your stay.

We do accept debit cards, from throughout the world, at our resort, and, after investigating this matter, I can only guess that you might have experienced an issue upon check in due to our inability to verify debit cards as a result of them being charge automatically to the account. Whatever the cause of your displeasure may be, I hope you shall not allow this single, isolated incident mar your overall perception of Banyan Tree Samui.

alexBath, thank you once again for your stay with us and we would be honoured to welcome you once again for your future holidays.

Warm regards,
David Cayuela

“AMAZING!”

My friend and I stayed here for 4 nights. Although it is very much a honeymoon place we felt like queens. The hospitality was amazing and they catered for us not being a couple (i.e. included an extra bed). The people were lovely, I really can't say enough about this place. I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting a luxury getaway. Obby our villa host was beyond amazing, catering for our every need. The place itself had thought of everything and the place was designed with every detail

If you ever get a chance to experience such magic, it is well worth it.

Dear Nicole P,

Greetings from sunny Samui!

Thank you for choosing our resort for your recent holiday and for taking the time to share such wonderful comments. I am delighted that you and your friend were able to have a relaxing and rejuvenating time with us and that you found our resort to be exceptional overall.

As a Banyan Tree property, we place an emphasis on the attention to minor details and it is fantastic to read that you felt the personal touch from our various departments. I have already passed along your comments to your Banyan Tree Host, Obby, to serve as added inspiration for her to consistently maintain the high standards you have experienced, and which are one of the trademarks of our brand.

Nicole P, thank you once again for staying with us at Banyan Tree Samui. It would be our sincere pleasure to welcome you back for your future holiday.

“ONLY THE BEST OF THE BEST !”

This is by far the best luxury resort in Samui , all Private Pool Villas secluded with a gorgeous beach , great food, staff looking after all details , management presence in every service step and enjoyed sharing cultural and worldwide experience with the new Spanish GM. Spa is terrific as in other Banyan Trees and also enjoyed the Rainforest water circuit. Fun and different , although they should give it complimentary.
We will come back soon at this best of the best Resort.!

Dear Blawbower,

Greetings from sunny Samui!

Thank you for choosing our property for your recent holiday. I am pleased to hear that you found our resort to be delightful and that you were comfortable throughout your stay. It is also great to read that you enjoyed the seclusion of our private beach, the cuisine featured at our various dining outlets within the resort and, most importantly, that you felt our service was discreetly attentive in all regards. I will be certain to share this with our team as it is such kind comments as yours that provide motivation to continue delivering the highest levels of service.

Our award-winning Banyan Tree Spa offers unmatched treatments and The Rainforest is the only hydrotherapy wellness facility on the island. I am glad that you were able to combine the two for a truly relaxing and rejuvenating experience.

Blawbower, it was a pleasure to meet you and I thank you once again for your stay with us.
I look forward to welcoming you back in the future when you return to Samui.

“Outstanding hospitality”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 January 2012

We stayed there for three nights in December in a Hill crest villa. The property layout is creative and looks gorgeous with the lights on at night. The bars are efficient, the breakfast spread generous, and the bar-be -que at our villa was outstanding. Samui city is a disappointment, and it was a mistake wasting a day exploring it. The waters at the private beach are very choppy and unsafe, but the pools make up for it.

Room Tip: The higher you are on the hill, the greater your privacy

Dear SanjitPaulSingh,

Thank you staying with us at Banyan Tree Samui and for taking the time to offer your feedback. I am glad to hear that you enjoyed your Hillcrest Pool Villa as well as the overall design and layout of the resort. We continue to receive praise for the variety of cuisine on offer at our breakfast buffet at The Edge and I am pleased that you also found it to suit your tastes. Likewise for the barbeque in the comfort of your villa which is a great way to spend the evening in privacy while enjoying delicious tastes from the grill.

We encourage our guests to explore the island and offer an Excursion Companion service in which one of our licensed tour guides accompanies you to the best spots around Samui. It is unfortunate that we were not able to showcase some of the natural and cultural attractions on the island and hope that your day trip did not detract from the overall comfort of your stay.

SanjitPaulSingh, thank you once again for choosing our brand for your holiday. I do hope that you will honour us with a return visit in the future to allow us the opportunity to deliver another
relaxing holiday.

“Last holiday before baby- great place to be.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 January 2012

We stayed for 13 days here, at first felt totally isolated in an uncomfortable way as the only way to leave your villa is by golf cart.
We stayed in a Royal Banyan Pool Villa, it was truly magnificent, we have stayed at a lot of resorts with private pool but this edge pool in the hills was fantastic.
After about 2 days we started to feel comfortable, the buggy system is very efficient, however they did let us down on chinese new year for 2 days, the batteries where dying and they couldn't keep up with the load, i had a 45min wait from the day spa, then had to share buggy was fine.

The spa was very good and although I only visited 3 times the wife being 4.5 months pregnant spent a lot of time there and loved it.

The Safron restaurant was good, we only went once, the Edge was nice and the chef was accomodating on our request to cook our lobster Mornay style was magnicent... not being a fan of buffet I did breakfast only twice, my dislikes for buffet food was turned around slightly with the bread offerings and of all things a Gouda cheese... Scrambled eggs where dry even when cooked as you wait... The staff here are impeccably good, noticing emptied juice glasses and promptly offering refills... Wife went every day and enjoyed it all.

Now on to diving, I have stayed on koh samui many times, always charter a private boat, I was looked after by Bophut Diving again, however a real downer is that they can't pick you up from the resort beach... I have stayed at 3 other resorts on koh samui and beach pickup from hotel was easy... We where told that this is not allowed... However a couple days later the General Manager has a private boat hit the beach, to be honest this is the first 5 star luxury resort that we have stayed at where he or she (GM) didn't introduce themselves... On both accounts can only be labelled as arrogance.

Have to mention all the staff again, nothing was a problem, they where so accomodating.

If they could improve anything I would suggest, more buggies, more driving lessons for buggy drivers... We where in many tiny incidents, most hilarious however would love to see any of them handle a break failure coming down from the G villas, and buy Gbetter quality toilet paper!

We also rented a car that was a good move if you are there for a long stay, buggy picked you up and strait to car park.

So all in all an amazing place to stay, service 9/10 food 8/10 spa 9/10 and remember you can't get a boat to pick you up diving unless you are the GM.

Room Tip: Get a pool villa, also good idea to have rental car as you are removed from the world... There is tr...

Dear RGiddey,

Greetings from Banyan Tree Samui!

Thank you for taking the time to offer your review. I am delighted to hear we made such an impression on you following your recent long visit to Banyan Tree Samui. Our Royal Banyan Pool Villas are one of the favorites among our repeat guests and, indeed, due to our unique hill location, buggy transportation is needed for you to move around the resort. Thank you for your kind suggestion regarding the improvement of our buggy service and the quality of the toilet paper.

I’m sorry that I had no chance to introduce myself to you since I was traveling, however, I had met your lovely wife at The Edge on an occasion a few days before your departure. In regards to the diving, I regret the misunderstanding concerning the water activities, since we do allow boats from other companies to access directly to our resort’s private beach. However, this depends on mother nature and the height of the sea allowing for the boat, especially for larger boats such us speedboats or catamarans, to access our beach. I was pleased to organize several boats for other guests and, although I appreciate your comment, the arrangement of a diving activity or boat trip truly does not require the intervention of the General Manager. Our Recreation team or your personal Banyan Tree Host could easily provide and accommodate your needs at the different options with our selected companies of private yachts and diving excursions.

RGiddey, thank you for choosing Banyan Tree Samui for your recent holiday. Congratulations to you and your wife and I wish you all the best for the birth of your child. It would be my pleasure to welcome your family back to our resort for a future holiday.
