Stayed here for five nights and found the hotel perfect get-away from the Hanoi streets. Good breakfast.
Clean hotel, comfy beds (not rock hard like a lot of Vietnamese beds) and good service. Price is alot more than other local hotels in the area (20-30AUD more per night), but worth the price for a modern clean room in heart of old quarter. Fresh fruit provided daily, buffet breakfast included in rates- great views from restaurant. Preferred this to their sister hotel Hanoi Elite, which was much smaller and cramped, had no lifts and a much smaller breakfast menu.
We stayed in the junior suite on floor 9, with a balcony. Sadly the winter drizzle meant we didn't get to sit out, but never mind, the room was very comfortable. A welcome bottle of wine was complimentary on arrival, and fresh fruit was provided daily.
All the staff were amazing, going out of their way to make sure we had a good stay in VIetnam.
The travel desk put together a programme for our 10 days, giving sensible advice on options and prices. They booked all our transfers, hotels, trains and flights, and I am pleased to say everything went to schedule. We were incredibly impressed with their efficiency, and they must have saved us hours and hours of internet slog. Can't recommend their services highly enough.
The reception desk staff were so friendly and helpful....offering to accompany my husband to the pharmacy to help translate (he gladly accepted), and, as we got into a taxi to take us to the train station for the overnight express to Sa Pa, the hall porter hopped into the front seat, accompanied us there, trailed our luggage over the tracks to the platform and put it on the train for us!! More than the extra mile, and much appreciated.
Restaurant good too, with lovely staff.
My husband, teenage son and I stayed here for four nights in late December and found the hotel to be an oasis of calm and comfort in a pretty frenetic city. We booked a family room, which had two double beds, and was very comfortable for three of us. The beds were the most comfortable we have come across in a hotel. A bowl of fresh fruit was provided in our room every day. The restaurant on the top floor is small, but has good views over the Hoan Kiem lake. Breakfast is a lovely spread of fruits, cereals, breads, pastries, rice or noodles etc. There are made-to-order eggs, pho and pancakes – all to a high standard. The breakfast staff are very friendly. We ate lunch and dinner at the restaurant on a couple of occasions, and the food (both Western and Vietnamese) was very good. The location of the hotel is central. Overall, this is a very well-run hotel, with very friendly and efficient staff. Airport transfers were efficient, and the reception staff will happily rustle up a taxi if you need one. An added bonus is the very good Indian restaurant (Namaste) almost across the road that we only discovered on our last day (but otherwise at which we have eaten more than once).
We stayed here for 3 nights and really enjoyed the whole experience. The staff were terrific, full of excellent advice for locating certain shops and organising our transport, including the price, to wherever we wanted to go. The location was so convenient to all the major tourist destinations, Breakfast and dinner was delicious-great pho and the restaurant view is spectacular! Lovely rooms, clean, quiet, well appointed. They organised our bag minding and transfer whilst we spent 2 nights in Halong Bay.
