i stayed in the above mentioned hotel for six nites and I can tell you the service is second to none. The staff are very warm and friendly and they make you feel welcome.
You have to try to stay there to know what I mean by Top Class Service,The room is sparkling clean , toilet is spit and span . room is always fresh smelling. Value for money !

The success of the company depends much on the good quality of the staff. In this hotel you will find the good quality staff . staff who always smile and serve you to their best ability.

Keep up your good work and I will definitely recommend any visitor looking for quality service and good and clean hotel, try the Rising Dragon Grand and you will know .

Stayed in 100s of hotels around the world but never have I experienced hotel staff as good as these people , nothing is too much trouble to them , hotel is good quality for price , clean fairly new good TV with lots of European channels , very busy location but quiet at night ! Go out for food about 6 because at 10 everything seems to close , staff know all the good restaurants and places to visit ! Thank you to the staff again.

“Rising Dragon Grand”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 February 2012

I booked the Rising Dragon Grand Hotel in Hanoi based on the Trip advisor reviews, and I was sorely disappointed with my stay. In my opinion, there is definitely a discrepancy in the reviews posted here and the actual condition of the hotel.

This was my first trip to Hanoi, Vietnam. My friend and I stayed in two rooms at the hotel for a total of 4 nights, so we had the chance to experience the Deluxe Room and the Deluxe City View room types. Please read a more detailed review below.

Areas for improvement:
- The room (Deluxe Room) we stayed in did not look anything like the picture on the internet. I was sorely disappointed when the hotel staff walked us into the room. It was super small and smelled like an ashtray (although I specifically requested non-smoking room/floor)
- Instructions for how to control the A/C and heater unit would be helpful
- Furniture was cheap and chipped
- Mold in bathroom shower in first room
- Dead roach in second room we stayed in

Positive aspects:
-Computer with internet in each room. VERY convenient
- Deluxe City View rooms are a nice size
- Hotel located in good location
- Receptionist staff was very helpful, friendly, and spoke English very well. They pointed out destinations on map and suggestions of where to go. Also, there are umbrellas for loan in the lobby :)
- Bottled water provided every day (and a complimentary bag of yummy dried jackfruit chips when you first check in)
- Booked the hotel through agoda.com, and there were no issues at hotel with checking in and out

Hope this helps!

Room Tip: Keep in mind that rooms are much smaller than they appear in internet pictures. Deluxe City View ro...

“Spotlessly clean, excellent service”

We stayed at the Rising Dragon Grand for 5 days last week, having booked 3 rooms online from Hong Kong the day before. WHAT a pleasure. Our rooms were very comfortable, spotlessly clean, and the in-room computer with internet was a godsend. The Wi-fi also works well. The staff bent over backwards to be helpful, and we did have some challenging situations which were handled with aplomb. Breakfast is GREAT: all kinds of fresh fruit, eggs, awesome pho, good coffee, and of course toast and all that sort of thing. The location is central to good shopping and some very good restaurants and if you need to go further afield, the staff arranges reliable and reasonable taxis for you. We heartily recommend this hotel...great value!

“Fantastic”

This place rocks! The room we had was spacious and clean (spend the extra few dollars for the bigger room as the small ones are very small), the food was good,  the location was good, and the front desk manager, Jenny, was absolutely amazing. She was so helpful for us planning our tours and helping us book flights and even giving us a free room to shower in after our tour before we headed out on our next one. She also had one of her staff take my husband on the hotel scooter to the bank because we were close to closing time and she didn't want us to miss it, and she sent the same guy with us to the train station to make sure we got our tickets ok and into the correct train, in the correct cabin! He even boarded us onto the train!!!

The beds and pillows were comfortable and there is free wifi in all parts of the hotel, even a computer in your room! Hot water was available too :)
