The staff Hanoi Diamond Holiday Hotel is so helpfull and so nice!!! They gave us a lots of advice and helped us to book tour around north Vietnam (Sapa, Halong bay..) and they were always waiting for us when we were comming back from our tours. They also gave us a complimentary room for a few hours between 2 activities. Really really good and lovely staff!

Best hotel to start our trip as Vietnam itself is such culture shock :-) The staff were incredibly friendly and helped us to easy into this crazy country. Sometime I wondered if these people were really like this, but they were. They greeted us with drinks, the room was clean, computer in the room and wifi were great (be aware, Facebook is not available in this part of Vietnam), mini bar had good selection.
We booked this hotel online and via email arranged an airport pick-up, best way to get from the airport. I advise to check what kind of room you're getting as we almost ended up with a room with no window. But the email communication was quick and we had a view in the end :-)
We recommended this hotel to everyone we met on our travels and will continue doing so from home. Simply the BEST experience. Thank you, everyone in Holiday Diamond Hotel!

This is THE place to stay in Hanoi. It is very affordable with the service of hotels costing much more.. They provide you with all the comforts such as robes and slippers and even a computer in the room. It is a perfect base for exploring Ha Noi and you can arrange tours with the staff as well. The people who work here are so lovely that you leave thinking of them as friends. They help you with everything you need while you are there and take great effort to help you enjoy the city. We enjoyed chatting with them and learning more about Ha Noi than you get from tours and guide books. The breakfast was great and the chef and waitress accomodated my special dietary needs.

We were a group of 6 and stayed at the Holiday Diamond for 3 nights in total, with one night in-between for Halong Bay. Everything about this hotel was excellent. The staff were so accommodating! The made sure our rooms were satisfactory (they were spacious and very clean, and for such a cheap price!), gave us tips for what restaurants to try and markets to visit, never hassled us to book with them (although we ended up booking a 2 day, 1 night halong bay tour with them for US $75, which was excellent!), kept our luggage overnight for our halong bay trip at no cost, and even let us use the lobby to wait for the train to sapa on a day where we weren't even staying there!

The price is excellent for an included breakfast, which was very varied and had many vietnamese and western options. It is located right in the old quarter of hanoi, within walking distance from the lake, water puppet shows and night markets.
