We have spent 3 nights in the hotel in a family room. Was a bit tight for 2+2, but we expected it to be.
Since we left twice for two-days excursions, the nights weren't sequential. Every time we came back to the hotel, it was like coming home. Great service, very comfortable and surprisingly quiet provided its location right in the middle of the busy old quarter.
Breakfasts were great, and again, the service just superb.
I also must mention that we were meant to arrive to the hotel late evening on a flight from Hue. When we arrived to Hue's airport, we found out the flight was canceled due to bad weather and we had to fly the following day. We phoned the Meracus hotel which we booked before and told them that unfortunately we can't make it as planned. In spite of only notifying them on the day (or even late evening) which meant they couldn't sell the room, they acknowledged it was not our fault and never charged us for that night! I think it was extremely nice of them.

We stayed in a deluxe double on the third floor, with a big window and balcony overlooking the street below. The room was well appointed with a huge double bed, although this seemed to be at the expense of a bedside table on one side which was a minor niggle.

The room wasn't especially quiet, but only the normal Hanoi street noise! The fittings were of high quality with a quiet, efficient air con unit and nice shower.

The staff were friendly and helpful, kindly writing the destination out in Vietnamese for a cab ride we booked with them!

The hotel is modern and clean, the staff are really friendly and helpful without being overbearing or pushy. The hotel is in a really good location, near the lake and the water puppet theatre and handy for shopping and the street market.
The room was comfortable, one of the best nights sleep on our trip. The extra touches in the room and by the staff made our stay special, it was a shame that it was just for 1 night. This is the hotel that we would go back to if we were in Hanoi again, we couldn't fault it at all.

What a fantastic hotel. The staff are so accomodating,friendly and helpfull, especially Hermes the front desk receptionist, he is just the best and a real asset to the hotel. Rooms are brand new and well appointed with laptop, safe, flat screen tv, tea/coffe making facilities, complimentary water and fruit and the best shower ever. Breakfast is buffet style, with lots of Asian and western choices, loved the cucumber juice. Location is excellent, in the heart of the old quater and a stones throw from the lake and water puppet theatre. Highly recommended, you won't find better value for money.
