My family (two children ages 12 and 16) stayed for three nights in January 2012. Our experience was wonderful from start to finish with the manager Mr. Viet Cuong being excellent about replying to my reservation request quickly and efficiently. We had some unfortunate 'travel challenges' on our trip (cancelled flight, lost coat in Halong, items left in the room) and the staff was wonderful about helping in every way they could (including mailing our lost items to our home address!)
Our rooms (family room with connecting doors) were clean and comfortable. The fixtures, furniture and bedding were of high quality for a three-star- overall great value for the money. Every staff person we met including the reception, porters and restaurant staff were friendly and helpful. The location is great- right in the heart of the Old Quarter- just doors away from the enchanting Green Tangerine restaurant, and three blocks from the Lake. Breakfast choices were somewhat limited but the excellent Vietnamese soup breakfast made up for everything!
An excellent experience!

The rooms and lobby were not at all what we expected based on the pictures. The staff was amazing and tried to accomadate all requests. The breakfast had little variety and wasn't very good. My partner got sick from the breakfast and was vomiting the entire way to Halong. Our room had a nice view of the Old Quarter and the location of the hotel was perfect. Would rate it high based on staff and location alone, but eat somewhere else.

Very professionally run hotel in the old quarter. Location optimal. close to some interesting bars. Clean nice rooms, helpfull staff. Very flexible (changed my booking - no charge) Nothing negative to be said. Just the guys you can count on
If the neighborhood is conveniant for you, don`t look further.

We booked this hotel because our friends recommended it . We were very impressed with the staff and the lovely welcome we got on arrival. The hotel is right in the middle of the Old Quarter and there is a lot of great restaurants and shops nearby. We had a lovely fruit dish everyday and the staff booked us taxis and arranged water puppet
