“quiet, clean, in the middle of chaos...”

Friendly helpful staff, good location, back rooms are excellent for 2 or more people, the most quiet rooms are in the back of the building.

Cleaning workers cleans really well, we should appreciate them.

Street-front units are not recommended for those who are sensitive to noise, impossible to sleep. They put me in this room at first despite confirmation...and couldn't change, I lost one night sleep in a noisy room but after one night, i got back to an room that I was supposed to be in, it was fine.

Room Tip: It is all about noise. if you don't like it, get the most expensive room category. All rooms are...

“Perfect place, if you are staying alone in a room !!”

Paid a $30 per night and I think its a good value for money. Its located in a busy street with a lot of bars, restaurants and shops. The place is busy until late night. From the main city attractions, the hotel is around 20 min ride in the cabs. So location wise, if you are not a luxury traveller, this is one of the best choices. The hotel has a travel desk in its reception. We booked a couple of tours from the place and the tours were good enough. The rooms have a computer with internet. The room is air conditioned with a TV, safety locks and mini bar. The breakfast is good. But if you are a vegetarian (myself), it may be a bit tricky, if you cant live with fruits and bread. They do provide eggs, which can save you, if you can eat eggs.
The staff were helpful, but their Engilish is not excellent. But they are genuinely trying to help. Finally, if you are a single traveller and looking for a reasonable budget, this is a place to be. I will definitely stay there again, if I were to visit Ho Chi Minh again !!

“Good value for money”

Location is good, in the back packer area around lots of busy little streets which are good for having a bite to eat and enjoying a few drinks locally. About 5 minute walk from Ben Than Market. Hotel was clean but our room was a little musty/damp smelling. There was lots of hot water and a really powerful shower. The staff were helpful especially the lady at the travel desk who was extremely helpful. Breakfast was sufficient. We would consider staying there again if we were to return.

“Great location, great service, almost no complaints...”

Stay: 4 nights

Location: A ~25,000-35,000 dong ride away from most places. The travel agency bus pickup location is right in front of the hotel. A few travel agencies are on the same street. Some souvenir shops and tailors on the same street. Alot of cafes, bars and eating places around. Which also means a busy and noisy place but seemingly safe.

Noise level: do not hear too much of the noise on the streets but can hear footsteps and door slammings.

Rooms: perfect for the price. TV, computer with internet access with skype installed and mic and earphones, rooms are clean (though I spotted one or two spiders and flies). There was a safe and the bottled water from the minibar was cheap. Hairdryer. Usual hotel toiletries.

Breakfast: good enough for me. Selection of omelette, noodles, toast, sandwich with tropical fruits.

Staff: All were friendly and very helpful. Good service, though they are not very good with English, they were smart enough to figure out what you require and will always try to make suggestions to make your trip better.

I would definitely stay there the next time.

Room Tip: Well maybe the top level rooms so you don't hear footsteps.

“Strategically located hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 February 2012

Just came back from a 4 night stay in the hotel with husband. We had a pleasant stay.

Location (Excellent):
Places to visit:20 mins walk to Reunification Palace and Revolutionary Museum, 25 mins walk to War Remnant Museum. Booked half day and full day tours through the hotel. The tours are organised by its sister company, TNK Travel which is located just right opposite the road.
Restaurants: 10 mins walk to yummy Pho restaurants such Pho 2000 and Pho 24 which are located just next to Ben Thanh market , 15 mins walk to Pasteur Street where highly recommended restaurants are such as Ty Coz (French), Nga Han Ngon Restaurant and Pho Hoa (both Vietnames) . The cafe next door, Cafe 333 also serves very nice Vietnamese fried noodles.
Fashion: Few doors away are tailors who can make dresses within 1 day. Had three dresses tailored by shop (name is TuyetNhi Silk) nearest to Circle K the convenience shop. Had three dresses tailored by Ms Tuyet which cost USD84 in total and am very happy with the quality and finishing
.

Shopping (Excellent):
10 mins walk to Ben Thanh market and night market (15,000 dong taxi ride), 15 mins walk to Saigon Square. Scout Ben Thanh for good deals before looking elsewhere.
Convenience stores such as Circle K and Shop n Go are located few shops away (buy bottled water here rather than on the street - cheaper and more variety)
There are also souvenir shops along the same road

Service (Good):
Receptionists were all polite and helpful. Ms Ly was very helpful in the communications for booking of tours, night cruise and room.
Breakfast was good as they were served hot. Waiter was not clear in explaining to us though as we found out only on day 2 that we could actually choose two meals from the menu instead of one
Housekeeping was quite thorough. However, bottled water are not provided for free which would have been a nice gesture.

Room:
We stayed in a deluxe room which was spacious and clean.

Room Tip: Deluxe room - Bigger and quieter as it's located at the back of the building. Very faint street...
